I love the name. I love the city of Antwerp. I am always looking for a good wax note. Initial spray there is this sharpness that indicates paraffin wax to me - the petroleum base of paraffin candles then this intense "floral?" powderiness pops in - it is technicolor and definitely a fantasy flower nothing that can be identified in nature. I wish this phase floral powderiness lasted longer but perhaps it will in cooler temps. Then the resin comes in - warm and slightly herbal with this "soft waxiness" encasing it. I don't get beeswax here and although it is a bit sweet due to the resins there is no vanilla here which I LOVE. Don't get me wrong I love my vanilla resins but there are just so many. It is difficult to find a resin that doesn't have vanilla "rounding" it out. So this stays in this waxy resinous phase for the dry down. It has very little sillage after the first hour or 2 on skin and yet it does persist as a skin scent a good 10 hours at least. It is original. Definitely not a safe blind buy (although that is what I did). And it is not the sillage powerhouse I was hoping for. It is summer now (although a tad cool on testing for the first time) so I will have to come back in the cooler months to let you know how it performs then.
