A Truly Successful Alternative to JPG Scandal OG
With "Rose de Soleil | Riiffs," I didn't have to think long about what kind of dupe it is.
Without hesitation, I thought this is "Scandal | Jean Paul Gaultier."

I don't know if the fragrance notes are correct, but in the opening, I perceive something floral and a thick sweetness that is somewhat reminiscent of Scandal.
There is not the slightest trace of mandarin or clary sage.

The scent is very linear; oddly enough, floral notes like jasmine or gardenia are very prominent in the dry down, along with a honey note that smells a bit less like honey compared to Scandal.
According to the fragrance pyramid, it should be caramel, but I don't know, in my opinion, caramel doesn't smell like that.

Scandal is slightly sweeter, of higher quality, and more complex.
Rose de Soleil is a bit flat and quite linear, but it still comes 85%-90% close to the original.
If I had smelled the RdS on a woman outside, I would be pretty sure it was Scandal.
You really only notice the differences in the air if you own the fragrance and have smelled it a thousand times, but even then, the differences are hard to discern.

H/S is not as strong as the original, which can also be an advantage, as the JPG can be too much for some people.
The Riiffs should still last through a workday.
The sillage is slightly above average strength.

The classification as a women's fragrance is definitely correct here; RdS is so feminine that I can hardly imagine it on a man (W100%/0%M).

My conclusion: For a small amount of money, you get a very similar scent to Scandal.
Nevertheless, I would spend a bit more money and get the original, especially because of the higher quality and better performance.
But if you're tight on cash or don't want to spend too much, then Riiffs is a really good alternative.

At first like JPGS - but fruitier, spicier, creamier, less sweet. In the dry down like PP - but sweeter, less fruity. Interesting blend :-)
