Soft linear green fig milk
I got this bottle blind used years ago and have actively worn it again for the last 2 years. I find the scent great. It smells green, and I can also smell the fig the strongest. Yes, the scent is quite linear, but I don't find that too tragic, especially at this price point. The scent smells green like fig. However, I would say it has something creamy, soft, and milky as an undertone. Since this scent is said to be quite similar to "Philosykos (Eau de Toilette) | Diptyque," I took the opportunity to grab a tester of Philosykos in the store
back then. I can't remember whether I sprayed the scent only on paper or also on my skin. However, I found Philosykos to be a bit scratchier, not quite as soft as the Italian Summer Fig. That doesn't necessarily have to be negative. To really compare them well, I would need to test Philosykos a bit longer. Both definitely go in the same direction.

Considering that the scent was probably stored quite poorly before, and also for the first few years with me out of ignorance, it is quite long-lasting. For the first few hours, I can still perceive it at work (a lot of movement), and after my shift, my clothes from the closet still smell of the scent. I find that absolutely acceptable.

Personally, I seem to like green scents and would reach for Philosykos just as much as for the Italian Summer Fig.

From the Sea to the Tree: Well-Being and Peace
Fresh from snorkeling
Flipped through the vine to the tree
Sapped from branch to branch,
Three monkeys sit in the shade.
They scramble for figs,
Having to make a choice,
Contentedly full at the foot of the tree
for mental refreshment
Diving into dreams.
___
A fig-fruity scent served with some plant sap on dry wood. Without the hairs of the fig leaf, it would really itch, but at first with the leaves of a vine, planted at the foot of a sprawling fig and climbing up. Sitting under such a vine and fig tree is mentioned several times in the best-selling book. It is a sign of well-being and peace - and has been for several thousand years.

I told you so…
… and I kept saying that spring is coming. And of course, summer too. That it will finally get warmer. I tried to comfort you because you were constantly complaining that it would keep raining and be cold (well, okay, it is indeed raining a lot today, but still… :D). But you never believed me and stared at me in disbelief as I kept bringing fresher scents to talk about such summery fragrances.

And now? Now it’s warm (as I said, aside from today’s rain…), at least mostly,… tsss… so don’t say I didn’t tell you. But you are known for always complaining. Therefore, I can already see it coming that soon you will be whining that it’s TOO HOT in summer, tss… what a bunch of whiners you all are.

But there is a fragrant solution for hot days: namely fresh and easygoing scents like this fragrance here! It’s a shame if you don’t particularly like figs and somewhat simplistic fragrances, but you should definitely give it a try, I think… :D

The scent:
The scent starts immediately with a nice and very authentic, fruity fig, which gives off its unmistakably beautiful, but sometimes slightly dry or stuffy aroma. However, it is loose and light (and especially green) and fits into summer as well as a perfume fits into an asylum!
He he, anyway, the aforementioned stuffiness dissipates immediately, and the scent continues to smell of figs, and I must say, the scent is extremely reminiscent of Philosykos by Diptyque.
The notes of grape leaf and crocus mentioned in the top notes, however, are hardly perceptible…
The fig smells quite long on its own, only in the base do hints of woods come into play. But otherwise, it stays that way and doesn’t change much. The scent is very simple, but also beautiful.

The sillage and longevity:
The sillage is at best below average and therefore unfortunately not particularly strong. You have to stand very close to the scent enthusiasts to perceive the fragrance on them.
Thus, the longevity is not particularly long either, but rather fleeting… well, okay, about four to five hours are possible, but during that time the scent is really only faintly present on the skin.

The bottle:
The bottle is hemispherical and has facets all over, making it look like a halved and peeled fruit or something. It has a light green/yellow gradient and ends with a transparent, rectangular cap. It’s not particularly special, but it still looks quite nice.

Hmm,… my first impression immediately told me: This is Philosykos by Diptyque! Hmmm…. how wonderful!!! Because I love Philosykos! And yes, this scent is indeed listed as a twin, and I can only confirm that this fragrance smells almost as exact as the wonderful scent from Diptyque. Because even with Philosykos, you basically smell the fig the whole time, from start to finish, fresh and green and just beautifully fragrant.

So, anyone who has always liked Philosykos but found the scent, which is actually quite simple, a bit expensive, will find a great and, above all, equivalent alternative here with the much cheaper Italian Summer Fig!

Thus, the scent is a great summer fragrance. And yes, damn it, summer is definitely COMING!!! :D Even now in April, it is supposed to get unusually warm, in some places even up to 30 degrees!! Even if it should rain a lot today.
And even if there are still some cooler days among the beautiful, warm ones, it will get warmer. Hot, really really hot! Puuuuh…. :D
Then you will be glad to have such easygoing and beautifully scented fragrances that are not heavy and can be worn excellently during the day or even in the evening!

Oh yes, my rating reflects my preference for fig scents and is also high because it really reminds me of the wonderful Philosykos. If I weren’t a fig fan, the scent would still land in the 7.5 - 8.0 range due to its beautiful aroma!

It lasts!
One afternoon in our neighboring small town, I drag my poor daughter once again to test perfumes, this time at the Body Shop. I know I don't have much time; at 6 years old, she isn't very patient and starts to whine after about 20 minutes. So I rush through the shelves, first testing, then spraying directly on my arms, because that’s faster. It’s cramped in the little shop, more like a slightly larger closet. Next to me is a young girl who is also spraying like crazy. Meanwhile, my daughter generously douses herself with everything she can reach. At some point, you can't smell anything anymore and everything at the same time. The saleswomen are bored behind the counter. I need to step outside for some fresh air; my daughter is whining, so fine, nothing bought today...

But then a few minutes later, I find myself outside in the marketplace, and this beautiful, warm, soft scent reminiscent of a holiday in Italy spreads around me. I sniffed at all my arm parts, ah, it’s the one on my right forearm. I have to have it! That was - uh, which one was it again?! So we head back to the Body Shop. It’s important!

So, before I get in trouble for too much story and too little description, I figured out which fragrance it was.

A beautiful warm soft fig scent; you can almost smell the white sap that sits in the stems and the skin. So, no sticky dried figs, the scent is neither sweet nor too green and also not very woody. The rose is very subtle. In my opinion, it’s also quite wearable for men.

And yes, it overshadowed all the other approximately 9 scents I sprayed on my arms at the same time, and it actually lasts a whole day!

Not bad, not great. It was one of the first affordable fig perfumes. There is a shine missing in it.

Fresh green-spicy, sunny-warm, floating, airy, gently nestled on milky accords, Mediterranean and juicy, awakening wanderlust, smiling.

For the price, surprisingly natural fig with its white milk. Fresh, green + light. Served on a sun-warmed wooden plate.

The EdT itself probably deserves a point less
But the fact that the care products match the Philosykos original so perfectly: top

Giacobetti-Fig. Wood & leaf, gnarly green, a drop of coconut milk, a hint of saffron. Not on the level of the original, but usable!

Actually a scent twin to Philosykos! And lasts just as long. Unfortunately, it's already out of stock again....

Extremely cheap, that's clear. Still, I find the naming quite bold for the German-speaking area. The little boy in me likes it.

I didn't expect that: a sweet, fruity fig scent, subtle yet noticeable, with great longevity. I like it a lot!
