Made me go out of my writing winter sleep
I appreciate a good suede fragrance. More so, I adore a great suede fragrance. I think to date I can count maybe about 6 suede fragrances that have incredible olfactory journey from the opening note, till the very last bits of the drydown. Out of hundreds that I tried, I still have enough fingers on my hands to count them. And now I found one more sueded gem.
It took Harmonist some time to release a new fragrance, and that effort is certainly noticeable. And with future pairing Florae Nebulae (which is crazy good as well) they are starting a great collection it seems. With Oud Nebulae the balance of leatheriness and fruity rose in the opening is simply gorgeous. They certainly mingle and don't stand out as individual notes as it happens to so many scents. Opposite to it is the base, musky, creamy suede, with hint of saffron and dry woods.
No skanky oud is found here. It is a classy and very polished composition, leaning tad bit more masculine. Balance and how ingredients melt into one another is remarkable.
