The Sun Is Coming Back!
The range of citrus-fresh is huge. The scale starts on one side with bergamot and citrus fruits, which together signal in the top note: The refreshment level is here. With Green Walk, we experience pretty much the other end, the unrefreshing end of the scale. But that is the more interesting end. Instead of interchangeability, you get character here. Lemon and wood. The lemon quickly recedes. What remains or follows is a bitter citrus note, possibly grapefruit (is neroli sweeter?), and a hint of gentle flowers. A green, understated companion, this fragrance. The woodiness is quite simple, more of a reminder of grains, perhaps unpolished rice. Everything is very natural. And green.
This fragrance is not a sequence of individual parts, but forms something cohesive and new in itself. Here, the whole is more than the sum of its parts. It may sound silly, but in my mind, the comparison swirls: bitter orange peels with cooked oatmeal. Now please don’t shake your head at this idea. Oatmeal smells very delicious. And the scent changes when cooked, reminding more of rice, even rice pudding. I’m trying to describe that the wood here appears only very moderately, almost creamily. So it’s no comparison to "Dark Forest" from Woods Collection, a completely different caliber. Green Walk is much gentler. Definitely a unisex fragrance. I like the scent because it stands on its own. The bitter, still quite green oranges remain pronounced. The "gentle wood" resonates, becomes more pronounced over time, and loses in my imagination the connection to grains. Green Walk feels very natural.
Where or when would I wear the fragrance? The scent is for occasions where the effect on other people doesn’t matter. More for moments when you want to do something good for yourself. Yes, especially on gray days, you can wear it when the soul needs uplifting, but also the feeling of authenticity. Green Walk is wonderfully suited for an afternoon walk through the nearest park, on a Saturday when the rain has eased. Or on an early Monday morning when you drag yourself out of bed and only a long work week awaits. Then Green Walk gives you a promise: The sun will surely come back.
