Wooow!

Now, to be honest, I can barely recall Layton because I smelled it off a tester a year ago, and I remember loving it! I tried Detour Noir, however, and apart from the quality gap (in favour of Dusk of course), this is softer, buttery in a light way and absolutely beautiful.

I smelled this at the same time with Luxodor Loyal Agar, the latter is a much nuanced and better produced Detour Noir; it is also slightly stronger than Dusk, but Dusk wins in the versatility test. I can imagine wearing this in all seasons but summer, contrary to Detour Noir and Luxodor. It is really heavenly and very well done for a clone! The price isn't hight at all, too, and the bottle is gorgeous!

Overall rate: 9/10!

lets get straight to the point, its a very good layton clone, everything feels high quality exept the price which is great. cap, bottle, smell and performance all are top tier. i cant say its the same but it is similar and just amazing u get a bit of spice and sweetness and vanilla and its great.
Not the cheapest clone but i think it is worth it.
Scent: 9 (high quality, decently versatile and u get a bit of everything not just one or two notes)
performance: 9 (good longevity and projection and i could smell it every hour or so)
bottle: 9 (feels good, looks good)
price: 9 (pretty cheap but not the cheapest)
Its a banger ....

Layton in something softer

After "Natural - Royal Night | The Woods Collection", here's a review of the popular Dusk. As with Royal Night, I can give it my full recommendation. The 8.8 is quite an announcement here and is completely justified. For me, it's definitely the best Layton alternative. Like most of this brand, the price is between €50 and €60 per 100ml, but the RRP is significantly higher, which is noticeable. The fragrance notes are of high quality and this creation has nothing to hide from the Parfums de Marly. At 1/4 of the price, it's more than just a great alternative. I find it much better than the better known and cheaper Détour Noir
The OG Layton is of course also in my collection. It's worth it, especially if you love this Beastmode performance and it's especially good in the nightlife. It also has that charm that doesn't really come across in any 'clone'. I would always recommend LAyton when it comes to the overall package (apart from the price).

Like all of this series, this fragrance comes in a great box including a travel atomizer that you can fill yourself. The bottle including the magnetic cap is very classy in my eyes and perfect for a great bottle collection.
The similarity to Layton is astonishing. If you want to wear fragrances like Layton in everyday life, this is even the better solution: the Layton DNA comes here in a much softer and more discreet appearance. Not that it's weak, but this fragrance lays on the skin like a great cream without being too skin-deep. The fragrance notes in comparison are similar, a few are left out. A few sweet and heavy notes are missing here in the pyramid, but are clearly present. The start with apple and lots of patchouli is very pleasant and high-quality. Here it comes across a little fresher and not quite overwhelming. Fresh fruity notes, subtle flowers and something creamy follow. The fragrance is beautifully balanced between sweetness, spice, wood and, initially, freshness and some fruit. The base then becomes sweet and woody with a pleasant spiciness that comes close to Layton. Overall, it is somewhat cleaner and more well-behaved.
As already mentioned, the performance is somewhat milder compared to Layton. Perfect for everyday life and leisure. Good sillage for the first 3 hours, then a little too close to the skin. Very pleasant.

Overall, this release is 100% worth it if you like the original. 1/4 of the price is already damn good and for me the best Layton alternative.

The better, rounder Layton

Scent: The reason why this fragrance is so in the hype is because it is supposed to smell like the Layton. Let it be said right at the beginning: yes, it smells like the Layton. Only in "better". More niche, less spicy, less sweet, but it is more rounded a bit fresher, more floral and fruity. The fragrance DNA is very similar. For me, it is the better alternative in terms of scent. Especially because the Layton for me now smells like an average designer fragrance. Here I do not have this feeling at all! He also has a certain depth. You know otherwise from Dupes yes rather less.

Durability / silage: This is solid. The fragrance is not weak per se, but also not particularly strong. The Layton is of the H/S somewhat stronger.

Flacon: As is usual for fragrances from the UAE, it is also here so that the fragrance house has put a lot of emphasis on a beautiful presentation. The packaging feels very high quality, as does the bottle. There is a wooden lid with a magnetic closure. Likewise, a small travel sprayer is included for on the go (this is empty, you have to fill in yourself).
The European fragrance houses must cut off a slice from the Emiratis in the presentation in any case.

Price / performance: Top! For 70€ one makes definitively nothing wrong with the fragrance. 10/10

Season: Super suitable for the colder season! Rather more for the fall and winter. In summer I would wear it at most on cooler evenings.

Occasion: leisure, dating, going out. For more upscale occasions, I find him too sweet and too playful. Rather less of a fragrance for work.

Gender/Age: It is a fragrance that I see more on gentlemen between the ages of 20 and 35.

Conclusion: Super fragrance - not without reason constantly sold out! For 70€ you can do since in any case nothing wrong if you are looking for a good (in my eyes better) alternative for the Layton!

When the caterpillar becomes a butterfly

I've owned the fragrance for quite a while and it's described as one of the best Marly Layton Dupe fragrances. I wanted to get to the bottom of this and had ordered the fragrance with great anticipation. At 55 euros, what could go wrong and if so many people say that, then it probably will
About the packaging:
Very classy packaging. The bottle is made of glass and therefore looks very high quality. So you don't notice from the price that it is a 50 euro fragrance. The packaging is also very noble and there is also a pocket atomizer with it, which does not look cheap either

Let's get to the fragrance:
Full of anticipation, I was curious to see if it was on a par with Layton and smelled the spray head first. I was initially unimpressed and thought to myself "yes, maybe the fragrance will unfold on the skin". When I applied it, I smelled something pungent and the apple seemed rather sour to my nose. The fragrance didn't last long on the skin either (maybe around 2 hours) and didn't really seem very high quality. Accordingly, I was disappointed and left it in the cupboard for a while.

A few months later:
I wanted to get rid of a few fragrances to make room for new ones. I first had to rummage through them to see which ones would go. When I smelled Dusk again (after 3 months), I was impressed by what had happened to it. It suddenly smelled much more intense at the spray head. I had to apply it to my skin and when I took a big sniff I thought to myself "what is this the same fragrance that I thought smelled cheap???"

It smells much better balanced with the whole components and also much more floral (in a positive sense). The green apple also smells much better balanced and there is no trace of the sourness in the fragrance. Even if the fragrance pyramid doesn't say so, I also smell a vanilla note, but not as intense as in the Mercedes Black edition, but rather subtle and underlining the beauty of this fragrance.

The durability has also increased significantly between 6-7 hours, which is more than enough for the price and for the fragrance. I have rarely smelled a fragrance that can hold a candle to what P/l offers and in such quality.

Conclusion:
I don't know if it's the same for everyone, but for me it took some time to develop its full beauty and I'm glad I didn't send it away.

For the price, definitely a clear recommendation to buy!!!!!!
