No silk, no lace, just mediocre chocolate
Chocolate scents are hit or miss to me. When they hit, they really do, but they also miss often. This one is in the latter category. It doesn't make me think of silk or delicate lace, it's way too coarse and waxy for that.

This is definitely easy to identify as a fruit-filled chocolate praliné scent. Strawberry as a note makes sense, but I also get some subtle hints of other fruits like plum and orange. The chocolate note in this smells dark and cacao-ish, not too milky. My problem is that it smells more like a nice fruit & chocolate scented candle than like the real thing. The texture is just a little off to my nose.
For some reason this also reminds me of the chocolates they sell exclusively at the register of TKmaxx. Those often don't taste quite as good as expected, and this feels like the olfactory equivalent of that feeling. If you know, you know.

In all fairness I got a sample of this by chance. There are many 4160 Tuesdays perfumes I'd love to try, but a simple strawberry & chocolate scent by an indie niche brand is not what I would have picked on my own.
It's okay for what it is, just not my thing.

Drugstore chocolate covered strawberry
I wouldn't call this "photorealistic" as I've never considered chocolate strawberries to have a particularly strong aroma on account of needing to be chilled, but the scent is clearly designed to evoke the confection.

The strawberry component is very nice and surprisingly long-lived given its placement as a top note. The tartness of the fruit adds bite and balance to the sweeter elements of the fragrance. Strawberry pairs surprisingly well with the amber accord, as the sharp resins give the fruit a bit more oomph. Strawberry note start to smell a bit artificial as it ages.

The chocolate component is less nuanced. I would have preferred a more bitter chocolate to temper the sweetness of the vanilla after the strawberry note begins to falter. As it stands, its more of a slightly nauseating milk chocolate rather than a complex dark chocolate.

I wish could live in the first hour of this fragrance, where everything seems perfectly balanced to keep the frequently oversweet vanilla notes in check. After the chocolate and vanilla fade, it become quite boring. The same vanilla-musk snoozefest I've smelled a hundred times.

Performance is good, still projecting faintly as I write this on hour 9.

Absolutely delicious
Perfectly photorealistic scent of biting into a chocolate covered strawberry. It smells amazing but only lasts around two hours or so on my skin. It’s quite nice to spray on before bed, but I’m not sure where I’d wear this otherwise. That said, I’m still considering a full bottle purchase because it smells so good.

As already mentioned, performance-wise, it’s short lived and it stays close to the skin. Overall, a feminine-leaning and a wonderfully addictive gourmand. If you want to smell exactly like a chocolate covered strawberry, you’ll love it.
