Chypre-bargain

Whoever created "Tristano Onofri Femme" back in the 1980's came amazingly close to capturing the spirit of "Miss Balmain" on a less sophisticated "drugstore level". This fragrance is a brilliant alternative to more outspoken bitter chypres. It features oakmoss, labdanum and a hint of patchouli in the drydown and something very piquant which smells a bit leathery to me. "Tristano Onofri Femme" (now available in a new bottle) appeals to women and men who like their fragrances green, bitter and elegant. The green chypre notes are not as carefully balanced as in other far more expensive fragrances, but if you are looking for a great everyday "chypre-bargain", give "Tristano Onofri Femme" a try.
