Like picking rasberries among a field of florals and rhubarb
Day 2 of trying out all the Juice fragrance variations that Commodity recently released. I was pretty hyped to get my hands on three decants from a trusted Facebook fragrance group member. I decided to go with the Personal version during my second day to see how lighter it would be as the OG version was deeper and heavier than what I was expecting at first.
It's just like picking raspberries in a field full of those little red wild berries. I smell the same sweetness and tartness of the raspberry as in the OG version. No raspberries can be found yet again. The difference lies in the green note imparted by the violet leaf that appears quite rapidly after I've sprayed the perfume on my skin. It makes the scent feel more fresh. The middle notes are pretty much the same. A nice rose, sweet and a bit carnal, with the cyclamen reinforcing the floral aspect. Bottom notes are where things also turned out different. Instead of getting a good dose of amberwood made of woodiness, warmth and ambery tones, I instead got a stronger note of rhubarb: spicy, a bit herbal and sweet. Makes the overall scent a lot less heavy than the OG version.
I see this version being worn during summer (more than the OG version) as it feels a bit more fresh with the green note at the beginning and the emphasis put on the rhubarb at the bottom. The fragrance also sticks way closer to the skin than the OG, a promise Commodity has pretty well fulfilled. If you found Juice Expressive too heavy, this one is a nice alternative!
EDIT: After having tested all three, I can confidently say that in order I prefered Juice-, Juice+ and then Juice. I won't be adding any of them to my collection as they haven't stirred anything particular in me (and two of them reminded me way too much of Angel Nova), but they're still lovely additions to a collection!
