Mountaintop to Shoreline
Immediately upon application: pine. Very piney. Pine surrounded by wild green plants, distinctly giving “mountaintop retreat.”
The name and notes indicate that is meant to be a beach fragrance but at this stage there’s not a speck of sand in sight, so I quietly sigh in disappointment and move on with my day.
The transition to sea level happens so gradually I don’t even notice it, but a couple of hours later I suddenly realise that the scent has quietly meandered down out of the mountains to the coastline. Now it’s all soft, aged driftwood and warm skin reminiscent of both The Blue Realm - Strawberry Starfish m (but less fantasy) and Shoreline (low sodium version).
Now THIS I can get on board with, and I’m delighted for the next 4-ish hours that it lasts. In the end though, it’s a like but not a love for me due to that pine opening, along with its overlap with other fragrances in my collection.
Projection is low, and longevity is moderate. Gender is beach daytripper.
