They can’t all be winners, folks
By now it’s no secret that I’m on a bit of a Wild Hybrid testing rampage, or that I’ve turned into something of a fangirl.
But this one? Oof.
I was super excited because going by the notes this is exactly my vibe: naturalistic, a little unusual, a touch atmospheric.
But immediately on application it’s leather and…candy? What?? I swear it almost smells like a blue raspberry SweeTart and I genuinely wonder if my sense of smell has finally just given up after years of sniffing weird perfumes.
The candy impression fades after about 10 minutes, but there’s still an odd and slightly off-putting synthetically sweet undertone that I can’t quite put my finger on.
Unfortunately that odd undertone never quite leaves, even in the depths of the dry down. The leather is there too, along with heather and a vaguely vanillic labdanum, but I just can’t move past that strange synthetic note.
Projection and longevity are both on the lower end of moderate. Gender is disappointed perfume reviewer.
