My first impression of Naxos was a little underwhelming; sure it was nice—you had some freshness, aromatics, and sweetness all blending together to create a nice and smooth product—but I didn't understand all the hype. I kept sniffing the scent, though, and slowly but surely I began falling under its spell. Bergamot, lemon, and lavender combine to create a beautifully fresh and aromatic opening; a realistic and decadent honey note provides a dense—but not cloying—sweetness; the scent wraps up with an ultra-classy, dry, pipe tobacco note coming through in the base for heft and contrast. Without a doubt, the honey and sweetness are the stars here, so you must enjoy these notes if you're to appreciate Naxos to its fullest; but if you do, this one is a must try.
