In a Persian market

Some fragrances are as evocative as some musics. This one, with a "Madeleine effect"reminded me of a piece I usually liked listening to when I was only a child: "In a Persian market " by Ketelbey.
If in that music you can find all the sounds of a typical souk , in this scent I find all the warm smells typically oriental. No matter if the ingredients are chocolate and flowers too, but my mind thinks of spices and tents everytime I smell this fragrance.
The bottle too is very nice and recalls the one designed for the Privé collection by Armani. The price is very affordable and now I'm addicted to this so evocative oriental unisex scent!

Beyond Gender: The Seductive Enigma

Zara Accord N°2 Oriental is just too good to be true. Notwithstanding it has been released for women, it's equally captivating for men. Classified as spicy and floral sweet, this scent possesses dark edges, with hawthorn blossom exuding that heavy musky fragrance with sensual undertones that makes the scent bold, confident, and unmistakably commanding.

The opening unfolds with green and floral notes—purple rose and herbal geranium leaves intertwined with a whisper of the poisonous lily of the valley. The absence of citrus notes in this overture makes this perfume excellent for cold weather. This represents the more feminine facet of the fragrance, with floral notes that linger in the background like a delicate promise.

The heart starts pounding after a while, revealing nutty tones of walnut, obscure and androgynous whiffs of hawthorn, and gourmand crumbles of pure black chocolate. Here, the walnut presents itself as mildly nutty, musty, phenolic, and woody with grain-like nuances, blending gracefully with cocoa and hawthorn. The resulting aroma is attractive, deep, and mysterious—this edge of the fragrance transcends gender boundaries, perfectly suitable for both women and men.

And finally, here comes the dry down... It is dry-bitter-sweet, creamy, and woody. There is amber with its dusty aspect, tonka bean's characteristic sweetness, dark vanilla creaminess, and the steadfast woodiness of cedar. This is the more masculine side of the fragrance, grounding the composition with strength and character.

I fell in love with Zara Accord N°2 Oriental at the very first whiff but didn't purchase it immediately as I was searching for Accord N°3 Woody. However, this one has now earned its rightful place in my wardrobe, and I remain utterly enchanted by it!
Both longevity and sillage are moderate, and as mentioned, the best seasons for wearing this enigmatic scent are late autumn and winter.
