Nature Spirits of Greek Mythology
TL;DR Mystery Balance is aquatic and green: marine moss, winding vines, salt water, and woods. A hidden bay of calm water, warmed by the sun and bordered by lush greenery. It has an ozonic accord that brings watery, lacustrine, green tints, reminiscent of wet cut grass, freshly cut cucumber, and dewy white blossoms.
Nymphs were female spirits of the natural world—minor goddesses of the forests, rivers, springs, meadows, mountains and seas. Holistic Flow belongs to the Boost my Feelings collection which is divided into three lines, pale blue, pale yellow, and bright red respectively, each consisting of three fragrances. The first two include light, spring, and airy fragrances, while the last is composed of more intense and full of panache fragrances.
To my nose, Mystery Balance is green and watery. The green note is defined by the smell of a crumpled leaf, a cut stem, and fresh grass wet with dew. It is a facet that gives a lot of dynamism, cheerfulness and naturalness to the perfume. It is a symbol of renewal and spring. An explosion of ozonic accords fills the air around me as Mystery Balance meets my skin. Yes, it has a metallic tinge, but above all, it is watery, like the pure and humid air you feel inside a lagoon. A wonderfully light scent with fresh, modern tones, Mystery Balance transports you to the ecstasy and beauty of the deep blue of a hidden lagoon with a sparkling opening of ozone and green plants. It is thick, complex, and completely intoxicating, fresh and juicy, like freshly cut cucumber.
Quickly, a floral note emerges to bring the floating flowers to the centre of the stage with a greenish touch of water. Here I get the delicate and dewy aroma of water lily blossoms, also known as nymphaea. The genus name is from the Greek nymphaia (νυμφαία) and the Latin nymphaea, which means “water lily” and was inspired by the Nymphs of mythology. Here we go. The middle stage is nearly floral, with lush jasmine blooms and green geranium, followed by a hint of the salty sea. I also hear a note of green foliage, something reminiscent of ivy.
As the scent continues to expand and radiate, the heat from the base moves towards the woods and musks. At the finish, the perfume takes a clean and soapy turn. Sandalwood is smooth and sweet. Combined with creamy musk, sandalwood gains a good, soapy smell.
Mystery Balance is a decidedly summery perfume, clean, and welcoming, with a salty but fresh touch. Neither feminine nor masculine, just clean and fresh. It possesses decent longevity and moderate projection, making it great for the day; to wear on lazy days but also in the office, it’s not offensive. There is no trace of sugary notes, so it’s a superb choice if you don’t want sugar or other sweetness added to your fragrance. I don't know of another feminine perfume that smells like this. Still, if I really have to associate it with something, then I would say that it gives me the same sensations as Acqua di Giò pour Homme Eau de Toilette or Homme Nature Eau de Toilette.
