A unique take on a popular DNA
When I saw the name Vibrant Leather & Violet Elixir my mind instantly went to Dior Fahrenheit so I was initially disappointed when it turned out not to be a dupe of Fahrenheit Le Parfum. The notes of leather and violet are most defiantly present though, the connection to the original Vibrant Leather is there but it is not so much leaning in the Aventus direction. I have never smelled Hacivat, so I can not comment if it is in that direction either. After letting it settle for some time and a couple wearings I finally figured it out: It smells almost exactly like Emir Cedrat Essence (Cedrat Boise inspiration) with added violet. Both are thick, creamy, citrus and woods with the Emir being more of a higher heat spring and summer night vibe thanks to it being being more citric and slightly lighter and fresher. The Zara is also super versatile but comes of a bit more heavy and earthy so would be more suited to mild weather in fall and spring days.

Cowboy
Finally Zaradüfte that perform?

Violet Elixir is a very interesting standalone fragrance that exhibits niche-like tendencies.
The scent is leathery, spicy, green, woody, and also reminiscent of violet leaves (yes, really).
It is somewhat inspired by the entire Vibrant Leather line, which draws from Aventus Creed or Hacivat. However, it completely carves out its own identity. And it does so very well. This fragrance could be a niche scent, and I would believe it. It reminds me of a cowboy.
Masculine, woody, and leathery.
I find the bottle design very successful.
P/L really top! However, you have to like it.

Gothic, floral - or how the first breath always hurts before you can breathe freely

Whoever finally manages to pour out the moldy flower water and throw away those rancid violets will be rewarded with sweet nuances of fermented milk (without the gag reflex).

...Those were at least my first thoughts and associations when I opened my bottle.
The first 10-15 minutes confuse, overwhelm, and fascinate at the same time. I wondered if this was even a perfume?!
Or, perhaps a conceptual fragrance?
My first impression was not at all marked by joy. The emphasis here is entirely on the past tense.

Back to the present: I managed to endure the opening. What I got was a deep dark, almost gloomier, subtly sweet-floral scent. Underlying leather, with the green violet leaf occasionally stumbling by. Very floral, yet almost leaning towards herbal, not feminine in the slightest.
You really have to like such a scent theme. Violet Elixir is abnormal in the best sense. In later attempts, I had none of the evil first impression left.

I read here associations with Fougère and Chypre. In the broadest sense, I experience Fougère-like sounds and possibly Chypre-like tones after the drydown. Everything feels very contemporary, not classical at all. A perfume lover and Fougère enthusiast I have come to appreciate would probably say that it is partly an aromatic Fougère. I would humbly agree. However, I often confuse aromatic Fougère with Chypre and vice versa. Ultimately, they are merely accents anyway.
I hope this topic will be contested here!

In Violet Elixir, there is more lurking than the indicated fragrance pyramid suggests.
There are nuances that evoke elements like wood, tobacco, cognac, or a hint of vetiver, but they do not necessarily have to be included.
It would not be surprising if Violet Elixir contained labdanum (my old friend and long love), palo santo, or some incense.
I have noticed that Violet Elixir shares its DNA quite distinctly with "Boisé Vibrant Leather | Zara." Especially when sniffing at the spray head.

Now, for what occasion, clothing, or season would one wear Violet Elixir? For me, it is not clearly determinable. Well-dressed, somewhat opulent and elegant suits the scent quite well, I believe.
Even for everyday situations where one is elegantly or flamboyantly dressed, it would be fine. For the office or more mundane occasions, it would be too festive for me.
How would, for example, a Xerjoff clone warrior or an average perfume enthusiast perceive Violet Elixir? After all, Violet Elixir does not necessarily correspond to general demand. I hope for more reviews and statements here as well.

In further test attempts, Violet Elixir underwent an impressive transformation with me.
Now it is from the very beginning as it presents itself the whole time.
A deep dark, seriously opulent, bitter-leathery scent with greenish-floral accents. I do not regret the new addition at all.

Potent sillage! Its lasting presence is impressive!
Dark and gloomy, it glimmers black-violet. Gothic and Black Metal friends, take note - this is your perfume. The mood this perfume conveys after the drydown is consistently interesting, almost mysterious.

In this sense, the first breath, even with a perfume in interaction with people, can often convey a false scent impression at first.

Black velvet with dark violet accents. Festively modern, it goes to the burial. Good mother earth lingers in the air. In sight, a gothic chapel surrounded by intensely fragrant garden flowers.

a bewitched piece of leather and a stoned Aventus
So.....

...anyone testing the three new elixirs from Zara will be quite confused when they spray on the Violet. While the other two immediately show what is meant by elixir, I initially thought: 'Huh???? What is this????' A hint of floral, which is well described by 'Violet', and a bit of leather. That's it. An Eau de Cologne leather or what? Compared to the other two, it has less power. No idea, I found myself pondering with question marks over my head, focusing again on the other fragrances. After a while, I took another sniff and I was even more confused. What is this now? Again 'Huh?' Suddenly it was a leather bomb. Where did that come from? A hint of something and a ton of leather.

I thought of a perfumer who just went crazy after his 400th scent, where no one understands what it is supposed to be. The sandalwood was not for me, so I headed home before I picked up something pointless again. Ate something and then, after about an hour, sniffed again. Damn, what is this now? Again question marks and a 'Huh.' The leather became subtle and no longer so intrusive, and suddenly a hint of Aventus peeked through a small window and grinned stupidly. But not an offensive, zesty Aventus, rather a boring stoner, lounging on the couch.

So, a nice leather, a shabby hint of something Aventus, rounded off with something that I still don't know what it is supposed to be, but as already mentioned, 'violet' describes it quite well. Yes, that's all it is, well, a few elements do come into play like tobacco or cognac or something, etc., but relatively unspectacular, almost boring, yet still captivating. I liked this dull simplicity more and more. I thought of a practical leather scent with a pinch of extra. It would even work in the office. Damn, just move on, you don't need it, you don't even like leather that much. Come on, you really don't need it. But as you all know, a fragrance that interests you, combined with a super price, almost always wins. So, of course I need it, absolutely.
Bam, made a 180-degree U-turn, straight past the oddly looking security, up the escalator that wasn't working, grabbed the Violet a bit and slammed it on the counter at the checkout. With a look that loudly said: 'Yes, exactly, I'm buying this weird violet thing that no one wants, right now. You don't need to look like that.' The craving was satisfied, and the more I sniffed on my way home, the more we became friends. The Violet will completely fly under the radar, I'm sure of that. But I tell you, it is the best. Among the rather simple, understated, everyday-friendly ones, but still strong. Still the subtlest of the bunch, which is why I like it the most. The perfumer wasn't as confused with his 401st scent as I thought. Because somehow this rather simple, almost boring scent has something magical, powerful, and dark about it and somehow also a certain depth. All of this together can really catch you. The perfumer must be a wizard!

Edit: it also layers pretty well with Club de Nuit Intense Man Eau de Toilette. 2/3 Violet and 1/3 CDNI create something really great.

Crush a [violet] leaf between your fingers and sniff a bright suede. Two fragrance components fit like a glove.

First encounter was off-putting, subsequent ones captivating.
Deep-dark, dry-leathery, green-floral. Many more nuances. Elegant! Good longevity!

This was my second blind buy after I really liked the Sandalwood from the line. The added violets are just wow.
