Airy Almond

This fragrance is a dream! A beautiful almond-forward scent without any screechiness or sharpness. Airy, sweet, and creamy -- the almond can read as slightly cherry-esque but nothing extreme. I do wish it was slightly more lactonic but that's a personal preference. If Italica hurt your nose (like it did mine), this is for you.

Chewy Toffee and Warm Milk

A lighter, more airy version of Italica! While Italica is dry and biscuity, this is milky and chewy!! Can get sickening when overdone so just watch out for that. I don't think it's similar to Velvet Tonka, but someone who enjoys Velvet Tonka might also like Safran Gourmand. The bottle is elegant, and the price point is superb! I purchased directly from the brand who were super generous with samples. I would repurchase. This is a solid 9/10 for me.

Performance is a solid 8/10. Winter perfection

One of my favourite winter scents

I tried this and a few others, amongst which there was Casamorati Italica: in the opening they're very similar and they in fact share some notes. I can definitely smell the almond and some milky notes.
Though, if Italica turns very cherry-like, sour and a bit off-putting, Saffran Gourmand is a splendid composition with balance, elegance, roundness. It's enveloping with the sweet notes that support the saffron, but never invasive or bothersome.
The bottle reminds me a bit of Balenciaga Paris EdP, even though the Places des Lices design is a bit more appealing to me: it's like having a luxurious vintage bottle on the dresser.
I practically stumbled upon this perfume (I entered the shop to test Elix by Tiziana Terenzi) and fell in love with it. Only a physical shop can give you certain experiences (and help you find things you wouldn't have considered otherwise).
If you're looking for a lactonic, comforting, yet delicate fragrance, I strongly recommend you try this one because it's so nicely made.

Delicate sugar dream

"Oh how beautiful are you?" That was my very first thought after spraying it on. A delicate, sugary, vanilla-like scent is my companion for the next 5-6 hours. Not intrusive and relatively quickly close to the skin. Normally I would be a little disappointed by this, but I'll forgive you anything.

I don't see the comparison with "Casamorati - Italica | XerJoff". While "Casamorati - Italica | XerJoff" screams in your face: HERE I AM!!! and throws a kilo of sugar and marzipan at your head-don't get me wrong, I like "Casamorati - Italica | XerJoff" -, Safran Gourmand Parfum is a delicate little voice whispering the sweetest words in your ear. Vanilla, sugary, creamy, fine.
