So this is what a lava lamp smells like
I am an absolute victim of flacons and concepts. Of course, first and foremost, a fragrance must convince me with its scent, but oh Lord, a lava lamp as a scent! I need it! 240€ for 100ml. Well, that's when my eye starts to twitch nervously. But you have to shake it before spraying, and it sparkles in the sun!
Bought!
Now let's get to the (slightly) essential part: What does Cloud Collection smell like? Herb-fruity and woody. I perceive a lot of sea buckthorn. There’s no trace of jasmine, and the woods only mix in towards the end, but they always stay in the background.
Sea buckthorn is by far my favorite "clean" scent note. It always gives me associations with sun-kissed skin and freshly washed laundry drying outside in the summer. And actually, Cloud Collection smells exactly like that to me.
It is warm, creamy-fruity, sensual, sweet, and yet lightly fresh. This is by no means a sticky sweetness, which is why it can be worn well even in hot temperatures.
Apparently, the scent is supposed to smell different depending on the weather. On some days, the perfume was less woody and reminded me more of crème brûlée in the later scent development. However, I couldn't establish a connection with the weather on those days. I rather think that the partly different scent perception is due to the ISO-E-Super. In fact, the flacon is a weather frog. If the upper liquid is clear, the weather will be nice; if it is completely cloudy, it will be overcast. Of course, you don't really gain anything from that, but I still find it nice.
And speaking of ISO-E-Super, that stuff always makes it hard for me to assess the sillage. At times, you think there's nothing left, and in the next moment, the scent completely envelops you again. However, I get approached about the scent relatively often, so it seems to be well perceived.
The longevity is enormous in any case. On the skin, it lasts at least 24 hours, and on clothing, it feels like forever.
Is Cloud Collection worth the price? I think so. Of course, this whole scent concept is ultimately nothing more than a nice gimmick, which will hardly be a buying argument for the average perfume wearer. But who is normal here on Parfumo? And I’m sold with these two color layers.
Cloud Collection is special, not only the perfume itself but also the scent. I know and have some other sea buckthorn fragrances, but this one stands out significantly.
Certainly not a perfume for everyone. But you should test it!
