Warm, spicy, hearty
On the fourth day of my hiking letter trip to Hawaii, it's the turn of Eau de Parfum No.4: Keanu - Sensitive Vagabond. Over the last three days, the first three fragrances have given me a warm welcome and awakened my spirits, and now it's time to head out into the Hawaiian landscape, and tomorrow, the last day, by the way.

For those who don't know the other three reviews: Aloha Senses wants to bring us closer to Hawaiian nature, culture and philosophy of life with a sustainable concept and 100% natural essences and make it "smell amazing". If you're interested, you can find lots of questions and answers about sustainability and natural essences on the website. But this one right up front: natural essences smell different on everyone and don't last as long as synthetic ones. I really appreciate them and now understand the higher price.

Keanu is a Hawaiian word for the "evening wind that blows into the mountains from the sea". Apparently there are many winds that have been given different names, this one comes from the Pacific to the volcanic mountains in the evening. It comes across as tart, a smoky breeze of precious woods whose aroma is apparently stimulated by the breeze, there is camphor tree, Virginia cedar and other unspecified woods, plus black pepper and tobacco. The fragrance is a composition that appears instantly, not step by step. Everything is fragrant, no single note imposes itself, a little bitter but warm. Aloha Senses wants to leave the decision to the individuals themselves and creates the fragrances for all genders and I also encourage the inclined readers to start from their own fragrance preferences.

Here at the edge of the rainforest in the evening, the breeze is fresh but not salty, the wind whirls up the molecules of the plants and trees, as a newcomer I can't smell anything in particular, but I feel safe and protected here under the canopy. The animal hunters of the day are going to sleep, monkeys are feasting on the leaves of the treetops, the hunters of the night are just crawling out of their caves. The insects have also taken a breather and are blowing around Keanu's nose. Keanu Reeves has no adventures to go on either, but inhales the evening aroma leaning against a tree, like the budding Boddhisatwa from Little Buddha, before the demons attack him one last time - or he has mastered this attack with aplomb and is now leaning against his Bodhi tree after his work is done and enjoying enlightenment. No, I prefer the former scenario: the vagabond in search of an end to suffering, the rich sonny boy from the golden cage of his father's house, has once left everything behind, apprenticed to hermit monks and hard ascetics, but has opted for the golden mean between luxury and renunciation and is facing the final battle against his own ego. The vagabond Keanu, the wind from the sea, reminds him that creation provides for him. Keanu Reeves in his role as the not-yet-quite-enlightened enjoys the peace and abundance. He doesn't smoke, of course; the cloud of fragrance that surrounds him here is enough for him. He will sit through this battle in inner peace and in a mediation posture, undaunted and smiling.

A fragrance for any time of year, for every day and for everyday work, not just after work around the campfire. It has a spicy, warm, pithy power, but doesn't go far and doesn't last long, less than the first three.

Whether my work is already done or I have to set off as a nocturnal huntress, or to cheat my predators, this fragrance will accompany me warmly.
