The magic of encounters
On day 2 of my Hawaiian trip, which I owe to Lavendergirl, I reach for Eau de Parfum No.1 called Honi - Narcotic Kiss. Aloha Senses Perfumes from Kiel is dedicated to Hawaiian nature and culture, I already mentioned yesterday that they use 100% natural essences and have sustainability as a program. All fragrances are designed to be unisex.
"Honi" is the Hawaiian greeting in which the forehead and nose are touched and the breath is inhaled. The forehead - the third eye - is the center of intuition. Touching the bones of the other person is an intimate way of identifying the other person and a deep connection. The exchange of breath connects both with the divine spirit. This traditional greeting was suppressed in colonial times, but today it exists again and remains a trusting and respectful encounter. This explains the nickname Honi - Narcotic Kiss, it is a kind of kiss on the nose. The greeting fragrance is therefore number one in the range.
The fragrance that unfolds is immediately very strong, with a finely tuned floral aroma. Bergamot, bitter orange, pepper, jasmine and damask rose form a rich radiant arrangement without citric peaks. High notes, middle and low notes come as a full-bodied accord. Later, vanilla and amber are added as base notes and the fragrance becomes sweeter and more physical. The Hawaiian spirit of greeting à la Aloha is a heavenly floral fragrance that tells of the sweetness of creation as it deepens. Closeness in Hawaiian is a delight. However, I don't find it numbing. I want to immerse myself in this beauty, I am drawn into this abundance. I smell so wonderful, everything here scents me so generously. I hold it tight, marvel, it still holds me and then the deeper senses are awakened. The embrace loosens and a dance begins, we gaze admiringly into each other's eyes and marvel at our beauty, even the simplest clothes bear witness to the grace of those who wear them. We exchange strings of white and red jasmine, rose and orange flowers, freshly wet with dew. You are welcome here, it means, it's good that you are here - and that is meant in the fullest sense - we are looking forward to your stories, your songs, your thoughts. I have arrived in Hawaii, I want to immerse myself in this world and I am looking forward to the treasures that I can sense here. Tomorrow will be the Eau de Parfum No.3 with the name Mana.
Honi - Narcotic Kiss is a fragrance for spring in full bloom and all its colors, when we celebrate the return of life in wonder. It goes a long way and lasts a long time. I would choose it for a grand or not so grand entrance for going out. It makes everyday life and work beautiful and gives them the appreciation they deserve. Infused with this fragrance, we approach our fellow human beings in a friendly and appreciative manner and can add magic to the encounter and then both go on with a beaming smile into the day.
