Fig and basil smoothie
Take a handful of fig leaves, 5 green figs, a few fresh sprouted branches from the fig tree, a few fronds of basil, two leaves of spinach and blend everything finely. Add a teaspoon of mate tea, a few strong turns of the pepper mill and rub some dry cedar wood over it. Then add a little bergamot, blend again briefly and the Cedre Figalia smoothie is ready (please don't copy ;-) ).
No, seriously. The scent is green, I don't think it could be any greener. It starts with fig leaf green and at the same time I notice something minty, which I think is the basil together with the pepper. It's pretty and goes well together. It remains green, with a brief hint of sweetness and creaminess from the milk of the figs, but is captured again by mate and twists in a more tart, still green direction. Even the appearance of the wood underlines the green again. The spinach seems more like an alibi to me because it is so healthy. I can't really smell it. Likewise, I don't really notice any citrus. A nice fragrance, for me rather on a man, but definitely unisex. I'm not so sure whether P/L is really justified, because S/H are not so outstanding. The Materi bottles are handmade, as I have read. I like them quite a lot. Will I treat myself to one one day? Maybe, because I collect flacons. But then Cacao Porcelana - completely the opposite of Cèdre Figalia. Incidentally, I came to the current fragrance experience because I recently treated myself to an ensemble of six Atelier Materi bottlings out of curiosity. And I have to say that I was quite impressed by some of them.
