Plum and Attraction
I was able to test the fragrance in a small perfumery and didn't know the brand beforehand. The next day, I bought it. The scent is special and striking, yet not overwhelming. Yes, one could say it's more suited for winter and more for the evening; in fact, I was already asked if I had lit an incense stick somewhere.
With its correspondingly extroverted character, I think it's an unusual daily scent that some may not like, but it is definitely not your typical 0815.
In my opinion, a clear recommendation; whether it's a daily scent or for Saturday night, everyone must decide for themselves and feel comfortable. In both cases, it's a great fragrance with an excellent price-performance ratio!

A Journey to the Ottoman Empire
This wonderful fragrance was recommended to me by a friend who works in a perfumery.
She knows me well by now and knows exactly what my preferences are when it comes to scents, and she often advises or recommends new or unknown fragrances that few people have on their radar and that could be of interest to me.

When it came to "Ottoman Amber," she said to me, "Hey, I have the perfect scent for you and your collection again." When she showed it to me and I read the name, I thought to myself, "Okay, the name really appeals to me," since my roots are from Turkey and I thus have Ottoman ancestors. Since I enjoy engaging with this topic and my roots, I was even more curious. With great curiosity, I smelled the good stuff right in the perfumery. For a few seconds, I found myself briefly in Istanbul at the "Topkapi Sarayi," or in German (Topkapi Palace), which for centuries was the residence and seat of government of the sultans as well as the administrative center of the Ottoman Empire and now serves as a museum representing the history of the Ottoman Empire.

However, this flashback lasted, as already mentioned, only a few seconds. So I asked her to give me a small sample to take home so that I could recall the scent and the journey to the Ottoman Empire in peace.

Upon arriving home in the evening, I was already looking forward to the olfactory experience and this time a longer scent experience and reflection on the Ottoman Empire, or rather the Topkapi Palace.
So I made myself comfortable and sprayed one or two spritzes on my forearm.
What can I say... WOW!!! For a few minutes, I was transported away from my living room couch and strolled through the streets of Istanbul to the Topkapi Palace.
With the images in my head of the time in the Ottoman Empire, I transported myself back in time and enjoyed those few minutes. The journey was fabulous and very beautiful, so I decided to get the bottle the next day. Now I have "Ottoman Amber" in my collection and treat myself to a short journey back to the past from time to time.

So for anyone who has been to Istanbul and visited the Topkapi Palace, I would recommend testing this fragrance to embark on a mysterious and wonderful journey into an era that has shaped and changed much. However, to fully experience or journey into the Ottoman Empire, I must also say that one should engage a bit with the topic and have an idea of how people lived back then and what all happened during that time.

Perfect
By chance, I was introduced to this wonderful fragrance last year during my vacation in Italy at a small perfumery. It was love at first sniff. I was looking for an amber/smoky scent, and this fragrance-completely unknown to me until that point-was sprayed on my hand. I said I would take a walk to test the scent. I walked out of the perfumery and found myself at the cash register to pay just 5 minutes later. Quite seductive and, in my eyes, a warm, resinous, and balsamic scent that immediately captivated me. At first, I smell a very strong myrrh/incense and amber. The slightly smoky note fades a bit after about half an hour, leaving a wonderful incense-amber-vanilla note. For me, this price-performance ratio is hard to beat, and I think it is underrated for my taste.
I would buy it again anytime.

Opportunity Makes Love....
.....To the fragrance. In my regular perfumery, I was able to test newly introduced scents after work today. Specifically, those from the company "The Merchant of Venice." These are fragrances that, following the company's concept, capture the atmosphere of former Venetian markets and translate it into scent.
There, I discovered a so-called "men's fragrance" labeled "Ottoman Amber," with the key fragrance notes listed below (from the manufacturer), which I find successful. Interested customers can read beforehand before they test. If someone likes "amber" or "sandalwood," they are in the right place; if they don't, they can choose another fragrance. And I must say, they really put in the effort, even regarding the quality of the scents.
This "Ottoman Amber" is truly impressive. One of the strongest "amber" fragrances out there, completely without the "cotton candy" accords that are so common in this genre.
It comes across quite unsweetened, with warm and soft, almost "downy" scents, contrasted by a finely bitter woodiness that is unparalleled. I immediately suspected sandalwood while sniffing, as well as patchouli.
And there they are in the ingredients list. "Official" and credible.
The fragrance now draws closer to me, almost clinging to my wrist and from there into my nose.
I perceive "lifelike" vanilla, not the overly sweet stuff of artificial vanillin.
And I also recognize balsamic and even slightly smoky notes, which I attribute to the incense not listed here and a bit of myrrh.
This test has explicitly appealed to me, and I am adding "Ottoman Amber" to my wish list.
My perfumery doesn't have the entire range yet, and I will test more from "The Merchant of Venice" when the opportunity arises. Then I can sniff and feel my way through many perfumes (one after the other, of course) and possibly find my favorite. Well.... opportunity makes love.... especially to the fragrance.....

More labdanum+olibanum+woods than amber. Heavily reminds me of Ambre Sultan, Fort Royal... Nothing original but the pricetag.

An earthy-resinous elixir in a deluxe bottle, but not so original for its very high price. Strong sillage.

Sweet-smoky, dense and heavy patchouli fragrance. Nicely done, but nothing more: having smelled it a few times elsewhere.

with a fine smoky myrrh addition.
A warming treasure.

Typical heavy amber scent in the style of Ambre Sultan: I only understood why I like AS so much better after comparing them directly.

Classic spicy amber scent. Linear and unremarkable. Patchouli in the foreground.
That's it.

Sweet-spicy amber with sandalwood, vanilla, resin, and a hint of caramel.
Moderate powderiness and sillage make it pleasant. Unisex.
