Clean florals for that shampoo vibe
If you've ever smelled or even used Oribe products (especially their hair care products), you already know how it smells. It has the same fragrance, with a little more depth and complexity. Blackcurrant is tart and an assortment of citrus fruits are there to greet you at the opening of this fragrance. Slowly after, the flowers come to mingle in. They're more on the fresh, almost green and aquatic side of florals even though tuberose does end up evolving into a bubblegum type of scent after awhile. No creaminess, no indolic aspect and no animalic undertone. Everything smells fresh, sweet and floral. It's sophisticated, but at the same time delicate and pleasing to the senses. It definitely has that clean girl / shampoo vibe to it. Drydown becomes a bit more synthetic with some warmth from the amber / vetiver combo and a subtle woodiness from the sandalwood that's quite subdued. Overall, it's a safe perfume (might be generic for some people). Overspraying is not a problem since it's a pretty light fragrance.
There are a few differences between this eau de parfum and the fragrance found in their products, but nothing too jarring. The eau de parfum has that synthetic streak that I'm usually not a fan of, but it doesn't last too long and fades away nicely. I'll be keeping my travel size and using it up when I want to pair it with my Oribe products or want to feel fresh and uplifted, but that synthetic aspect has stopped me from going for the whole bottle, unfortunately.
