at the kiosk

Once again, I blindly reach into the Hasi surprise bag and pull out something very delicious.
Luck by Essence.

If this is what happiness smells like, then I gladly welcome it.
But happiness always comes at the right moment - if only it weren't so fleeting!

"The happiness is a light-hearted wench - she doesn't like to stay in one place -
she brushes your hair from your forehead, kisses you gently - and is already gone."

Nevertheless, I remember the moment of happiness when I stood at the kiosk, with a fabulous 5 groschen, carefully making my selection of gummy candies.
Such immense pocket money should not be squandered!
The nice kiosk uncle always asked me: clown heads or little shoes?
And I always chose the little shoes because they tasted so authentically fruity.

And the fruits like kiwi, green apple, and black currant are captured in Luck with great fidelity.
The bright freesia and the white flowers complement the fruity aroma well.
Vanilla is soft and also delicious, and the cedar in the dry down gives the fragrance some grounding substance.

My little fragrance surprise bag has revealed something beautiful to me today - just like back then with my paper bag of colorful "little shoes."

Another lovely one from essence

I really like the essence fragrances, Summerrain has been one of my summer favorites for a long time. Luck is also a fresh and beautiful summer scent. When first sprayed, it seems a bit light, hardly noticeable. But after 1-2 minutes, it develops into a quite perceptible fragrance.

Luck starts fresh, but also somewhat sweet. I can easily pick out the kiwi, as well as the fresh-floral freesias. A few blackcurrants give the fragrance a slightly tart acidity. Overall, a nicely fresh and unobtrusive opening. The fruity notes fade in the heart, and the scent becomes increasingly white-floral, with cedarwood adding a pleasantly balsamic wood note. The longevity is around 4 hours, which is below average, but it’s enough for me. I prefer to reapply than to have a scent cling to me.

I really like this fragrance and enjoy wearing it. Cedarwood combined with the white flowers is a really beautiful combination, and the fruits in the top note are not overly fruity but simply fresh and pleasant. This very affordable fragrance is definitely worth a try.

Edit July 2015: Klette pointed this out to me - I also smell quite a bit of melon here. I’m still wavering between honeydew and watermelon, a lovely melony-aquatic scent. I think I will stock up on a few flankers just like I did with "Like a Walk in the Summer Rain"...

Green Freshness

Last year, I spontaneously bought a few bottles from this series. However, I put them in the cupboard and forgot about them. Therefore, I can't say if the fragrances are still available. They didn't cost a fortune, though. Now I took them out and tested them at my leisure.

I start with Luck, which means happiness. For me, the opening was green and grassy. Freesia also mixed in a bit. But very quickly, the delicate white flowers and peach blossom joined in. Together, they create quite a pleasant scent. Then, as base notes, there is sandalwood and cedarwood. I didn't smell musk and vanilla. Overall, it's a very nice, green, fresh, and pleasant fragrance, if one could enjoy it for longer. Luck lasted as a scent for about an hour, and after two hours, there was only a hint left on my skin. I will use it, but I won't repurchase it, if it's still available. If it lasted longer, it would be a fragrance for me.

Fruity-fresh, until it squeaks!

The heat of the last 2 weeks really put me in quite a dilemma regarding my fragrance choice. One of my "go-to" scents was actually too much for the tropical temperatures; an Aqua or Eau fraiche unfortunately doesn't last all day, so frequent reapplication is necessary.

When I stumbled upon Blauemaus's comment, I was quite curious about "Luck" because of its fresh fruitiness from apple and kiwi.
So, off I went to the drugstore to check out the testers and test strips.
A fresh, not artificial, soothing apple scent wafted towards me.
Spontaneously, I took home the 30ml bottle and have not regretted it.

On the skin, the apple scent comes across as so natural and uplifting; instead of kiwi and berries, I actually perceive honeydew melon. It’s probably the combination of the fruits that makes the difference. However, when sprayed on freshly washed hair, I don’t smell it.

I expected that the little apple would completely lose its scent after 2-3 hours, leaving only the faintest woody base (at most) to be detected; but: I was way off!!!
Luck carries the apple/melon note gently and transitions into a flattering vanilla wood note, which is not too much for me even at stuffy 32 degrees and above, and it lasts and lasts and lasts. So, 10-12 hours are definitely in there!

The heat outside is exhausting me; Luck lifts me up. TOP!

Okay, the bottle is ugly, but it fits well in the hand and the spray button dispenses a good amount straight!

Beautiful mainstream scent

I spontaneously picked up Luck, even though I had actually imposed a buying stop on myself. I love the top note when I spray it on. And while I hate it when other people keep reapplying, with Luck I'm tempted to do the same. But don't worry, I like my surroundings and hold back :-D After spraying, you can smell the green apple with freesia. For me, it also has an aquatic opening, which is not indicated in the fragrance pyramid. Shortly after, I can also perceive the kiwi and, with a lot of imagination, the blackcurrant. In the heart note, the floral notes take over. In the base, it fades out with a floral-woody scent, with vanilla being faintly noticeable.

Luck starts interestingly, only to transition into a pleasant, barely noticeable scent, but also an interchangeable one. Still, for the money, it's not a bad purchase, as you can wear Luck every day without annoying the environment with oversized sillage. You feel well-perfumed yourself, as the sillage is rather close to the body.

I find the bottle quite nice, but also not a masterpiece. I do have a penchant for symbols, so I quite like the four-leaf clover.
