Too much 4711 vibes for me
Opening - Sharp ginger and lemon, extreme 4711 vibes.
Unfortunately, it doesn't stop at the top note but rather runs consistently through the entire scent development for me.
I was really looking forward to sweet, creamy, slightly powdered marshmallows, but they unfortunately get overshadowed too much. Through the screaming, shrill ginger-lemon mixture, which I can still perceive on my skin even after 24 hours. The longevity here is absolute "Beastmode," as one would now say in an "influencer" way ;-). It really lasts a long time. Anyone who likes the scent has a 24-hour companion here.

There is indeed a certain similarity to LDBS, yes. But LDBS does not have this screaming ginger-citrus note for me.
However, it must be said that LBDS also doesn't shine as much. Those who like this fragrance direction may have found an even better, especially cheaper companion in Pin Up.

Unfortunately, this Pin Up doesn't resonate with me and I hope it makes someone else happy :)

The more marshmallow scents, the better and more beautiful!:D
I believe it’s no secret that I
worship
marshmallow scents!:D
The first marshmallow scent that continues to blow me away to this day is Kilian Love Don't Be Shy...
I don’t think I need to say much more except that every time I spray or wear this paradise scent, I float on cloud 7 and am simply happy and content all day long:))
The Princess is also a divine and seductive marshmallow scent, but it is lighter and creamier, as well as fluffier than the LDBS.
Dragee by Reminiscence is indeed an almond scent, BUT even though no marshmallow note is listed in the fragrance pyramid, I can smell the hidden marshmallow note much more intensely than the almond note.
The Dragee is also a beautiful and delightful marshmallow scent that leans heavily towards Kilian LDBS, but it is not a dupe.
Giorgio Armani Si Fiori is also a beautiful and fluffy as well as very, very creamy and noble marshmallow scent, accompanied by very feminine and soft floral notes.
So why am I listing all these treasures now?
To make it short, I know from many, as well as from myself, that Kilian Love Don't Be Shy is simply very expensive or doesn’t fit into the budget....
I wanted to find a scent that would truly convince just as much and smell almost 1-to-1 like the LDBS.
And as always, this is a challenge to find a dupe that really smells like the beloved perfume that one cannot or does not want to afford, or even worse, when the scent is no longer produced/sold.
Of course, no scent smells 1-to-1 like another, but this difference is hardly noticed by our fellow humans, much more by ourselves or better said, by our scent noses;D
Be that as it may, the search was fun (for me at least:D) as I was able to discover more scent treasures on this fragrance journey. (I mainly searched for marshmallow scents)
I found what I was looking for through a very, very dear and esteemed perfumer, namely the lovely Elenasmom:))
If you’re reading this, thank you so much again for the great recommendation:)
I got a hint that Classique Pin-Up by JPG is a good dupe (if I may call it that) or at least a very good alternative to Kilian LDBS.
Admittedly, at first, I was very, very unsure whether this scent would appeal to me since I had read several times that the ginger note was more prominent than all the other fragrance notes.
The annoying thing about it is that Classique Pin-Up is/was a limited perfume and I missed out on it...
But I was able to snag a decant of it, so I can at least test it:))
Since I still have a good amount of decant from Kilian Love Don't Be Shy and now also a nice decant from JPG Classique Pin-Up, I can make/write a little comparison:))
I will now compare both to see if the Pin-Up is really a good dupe for the LDBS:))

The scent...

JPG Classique Pin-Up (Top Note): Starts with a very prominent ginger note that, while it tickles a bit in the nose at first, can be very refreshing, for example, in the morning;))
The lemon note gives the scent a very fine freshness:)

Kilian Love Don't Be Shy (Top Note): Also starts with a refreshing orange blossom note that wonderfully brings a fine juicy nectar note with it.*.*
The marshmallow note doesn’t take long to appear and presents itself in the top note from its most beautiful side.

JPG Classique Pin-Up (Heart Note): And finally, the hoped-for marshmallow note arrived!*.*
I must say I am speechless! Soooo wonderfully creamy, fluffy, subtly creamy and milky at the same time... The marshmallow note in Pin-Up merges with the skin just like in LDBS.
In LDBS, the marshmallow note is accompanied by a dark caramel note, whereas Pin-Up is a pure marshmallow scent with LDBS DNA.
The orange blossom gently approaches the marshmallow note, which I personally like very, very much!*.*
Although no rose note is listed, I think I can smell a very soft but also velvety and delicate rose note, BUT as already mentioned, in Pin-Up the marshmallow note is the most prominent and intense to smell.

Kilian Love Don't Be Shy (Heart + Base Note): Marshmallow, velvety roses paired with a dark caramel note that brings a mysterious depth with it.
The orange blossom is still present and merges with each individual note into a magical and sensual progression like hardly any other! Especially on my skin, it feels like a spell that touches my soul anew every time!*.*
JPG Classique Pin-Up (Base Note): The marshmallow paradise on my skin is also unmistakable*.*
I can also slowly perceive the vanilla, but very softly and powdery.
Vanilla powder is sprinkled over the marshmallow, and next to the marshmallow mountain, fine but fragrant orange blossoms are placed.... I can only say it’s addictive and downright seductive!:D
I can only say one thing, both are worth being included in any perfume collection!
Especially if you like sweet scents, particularly if, like me, you have a great love for marshmallow scents.:))
And yes, the Pin-Up is a very good alternative to the LDBS, especially if you like to save.
The longevity and sillage are very good, especially on clothing, lasting until the next day.
I can only say I am simply happy to have discovered such a beautiful scent that brings me great joy every time I spray it, but also seduces me!;))

The ONE fragrance...
Since I took the plunge into the rabbit hole of fragrance arts three years ago, I have discovered quite a bit. For a long time, all fragrances smelled the same to me - no matter what I sniffed in the standard perfumeries, everything was basically La Vie est Belle L'Eau de Parfum to me. Thanks to Parfumo, and the great samples and sharings here, completely new worlds opened up.

I tried countless brands, niche - from Amouage to XerJoff - and indie, extremely expensive fragrances and extremely hard-to-get scents (Hello "Kiste | Slumberhouse"). I fell in love countless times, saw new horizons and fragrance notes that I had never smelled before.
Yet, I never found the ONE fragrance that captivated me so much that I only wanted to smell it.

Then, quite unexpectedly, after a question about possible relatives of "Mon Précieux Nectar | Guerlain," I was recommended Classique Pin-Up in the forum. Okay, why not order it - after all, I had already bought fragrances in completely different price categories blindly. I liked the Guerlain, this one should last longer. The reviews are okay. Why not test it - if necessary, sell it in the souk.

When it arrived, the bottle was already very kitschy and the lemon-ginger note at the start was a bit strange. But at the same time "strange." Everything that followed was grandiose!!!! An adult marshmallow hint with pleasant vanilla and gentle feminine orange blossom envelops me. Carried by amber, my favorite fragrance note, which I perceive here in such a way that it subtly makes me addicted without being animalistic or intrusive. Still, it is not banal or standard. It could definitely be niche quality.

Pin Up is ME! Soft, friendly, sweet without being sticky, cuddly warm, but completely without kitsch! Not intrusive, just wonderfully fluffy without being childish. A pure feminine dream. And this, despite the fact that it is not hyped at all.

It lasts all day on me and is noticeable, but never intrusive. It has a fine sillage, but completely within bounds. Perfect! A go-to fragrance that works just as well at work as it does for cuddling. I just want to smell like this all the time.

Thus, it came to pass that Mrs. Silverwheel chose a banal designer flanker as her signature scent after a 3-year fragrance journey. And this, after she has never tolerated JPG fragrances and long since renounced the topic of "signature" due to the variety of scents ("why should you only wear ONE fragrance?? How boring!")

Sometimes, there is no rational answer to the question. You just wear the fragrance so often in 2 months as others do with their "favorite fragrances" in 2 years. Sometimes a fragrance simply finds you and takes hold of you. You no longer wonder what you want to wear in the morning; you spray automatically. And you indulge in the fluffy bliss of your great fragrance love. Okay, occasionally I still "stray," but I always come back by evening at the latest. ;-)

I am curious how long this great love will last. One thing it definitely deserves: a dedicated review!!! Therefore, I warmly recommend Pin-Up to anyone who loves soft, feminine-cuddly, agreeable, yet extraordinary fragrances - especially now in autumn. I think we will have a lot of fun together.

Cool elegance with a plush heart: Fresh ginger outlines a clear shape and cradles a warm, fluffy-sweet orange blossom. Very beautiful!

A more mature Love don’t by shy.
In the drydown, it's almost indistinguishable.
This one is much more interesting and niche!

And then
beautiful vanilla,
amber, light marshmallow cream fluff.
I'm in love.

Opening: Ginger spice
then: Love don't be shy, but in a prettier way! Not as sweet, more mature, in the most beautiful bottle. Strong H + S!
