An ode to India's rich perfume heritage

The scent opens with a burning, radiant duet of Black and Pink Pepper, which quickly calms to reveal the splendid heart. The heart is a sensuous dance between the dark, majestic Hindi Assam oud, and an inviting, carnal Rose. This resinous, regal Oud adds great depth and warmth.
Next it deepens with golden spices like Indian Saffron and Turmeric, which lend a bright, earthy warmth. In development, it dries down to a smoky and lasting base featuring Storax and a hints of the sea with Ambergris.
In conclusion, "Hindi Love Affair" is a vibrant, warm spicy-floral-oud fragrance that is primal and regal.

Review - Hindi Love Affair

The name says it all and it’s just magic. I’m picking up the mango and ginger. I love the spiciness of it. It’s not too heavy. The Indian rose and Assam Oud come through well. Pink peppercorns feature strongly in here. The ambergris and styrax provide a good base that holds it all together. A really enjoyable Parfum for the house or for going out.

Brighty Nighty BarnOud Rose Fruit Juice

To my nose, the oud and rose aspect of this is VERY similar to Dominic Ropinion's The Night, albeit toned down a level. The oud is definitely the Hindi variety, as the agarwood chips were almost certainly soaked and have undergone some degree of fermentation, resulting in a clean but prominent 'barnyard' note. Experienced Hindi oud lovers and fans of The Night will love this -- amateurs that have only smelled synthetic freshie slop will have their noses smashed yet again.

Overall, it's brighter and more fruit-forward than Ropinion's juice, thanks to the mango and ginger notes. Good lasting power and becomes a sweet, woody scent in the drydown. Good stuff.
