Intellectual Rose
Pretty without being boring, a crowdpleaser with character: complex and "smart" but also friendly and approachable. It's a soft perfume but others will notice it. I don't chase compliments with my scent, still get happy when I receive some, and this delivers.
A rose balancing between green and pink, fresh and sweet, salty and smokey. One of those caleidoscopic scents where depending on the direction you turn, you discover a new color and facet. I for one especialy enjoy the herby, fresh, crushed dill-like sweetness in the opening, and the soft, elusive, almost powdery incense in the drydown.
I loved Hima Jomo's season-series for their evocative nature, and in general the whole line successfully conjures images of the far-away Himalayan landscapes and people. Lhasa Rose is their first fragrance which is not quite doing that for me, it feels more modern and European than Asian from 1924, lovely nonetheless.
