Great sweet amber scent that is easy to wear
Next up is the Spanish niche brand House of Fanatics. I previously reported extensively on "Billion Dollar Oud | House of Fanatics," and now we have Amber Ghost. These two fragrances seem to be the most popular from this brand, which currently has 5 in its range. I tested all of them through the sample set and found them all to be good. The Aquat, the clean scent, and the rose scent struggle a bit due to the large offering in this price range, while the two heavier scents work quite well. I find Billion Dollar Oud to be the best, but Amber Ghost doesn't need to hide and is also a bit more versatile, plus at €190 for 100ml, it's €30 cheaper. With the current autumn weather, Amber Ghost offers a wonderful sensual warmth that works very well in everyday life due to its not too heavy composition. Overall, it's a great mix of warm-spicy notes, a lot of sweetness, and of course amber as the main character. Qualitatively, the scent lives up to its price, and it has certainly earned its 8.0 here.

Like all bottles in this series, this one is somewhat of a fail. Many associate this bottle shape with something else. Visually, it is certainly eye-catching and quite unique. The packaging is also quite appealing.
With Amber Ghost, you get a great mix that starts with an amber warmth that runs throughout the entire development. In the opening, you also get Somali incense, which is known to be quite soft and less smoky, keeping this creation smooth. A slight saffron spice floats along, but not as dominant as in many bestsellers with this note. It's actually a great mix where the notes are well balanced. A lightly creamy fruity mandarin also blends into the top note without becoming too fruity. In the heart note, floral notes of orange blossom and lily of the valley follow, without becoming too floral and feminine. Orange blossom naturally brings some soft vibes. Sandalwood adds clean woody notes and ensures a practical heart and base note. In the base, the sweet and warm notes of amber, vanilla, and a creamy-sweet tonka-ylang mix mingle. A stylish base of sweet-warm notes and this slightly creamy note. Even though sweetness is very present, the scent is not gourmand but rather in this sensual-warm direction. The scent is naturally unisex and versatile, suitable for both everyday wear and evening occasions.
Performance is in the solid middle range and is somewhat modest for the notes. Nevertheless, it is a pleasant companion that radiates closely. It's quite nice, especially if you enjoy warmer scents in everyday life. Longevity? 8 hours, possibly a bit more.

Overall, it's a scent that I really like and provides a cozy vibe, especially during transitions. Those who enjoy these notes can test it well.

Refinement and Elegance Pair Together
Amber Ghost is a truly pleasant fragrance. It possesses a certain refinement and elegance.
I enjoy wearing it, and my partner also quite likes it.
I think this fragrance deserves a chance.
In general, this relatively new brand is quite exciting.

Amber Ghost starts off quite floral, but additionally features a mandarin that is touched with a fine saffron spice.
I like the combination.
Really well crafted!
Don't worry that the scent is too floral; it is not. While it does have noticeable floral hints at the beginning, I believe these are really well balanced and become milder over time.

During the progression, a certain sweetness also develops.
Moreover, the incense sets in, acting like a kind of veil.
It is there, not strongly present, but still well noticeable. Totally pleasant and appealingly designed.
Then the fragrance also builds on the listed amber accord.
Amber blends with creamy ylang-ylang vibes and a fine vanilla. I can't really detect the tonka bean.

The longevity is really decent. It lasts a good eight hours on me, and the projection is perfectly fine too.
At least for me.

Is the fragrance unisex wearable?
I say quite clearly, yes!

I'm in the kitchen...
... I'm currently making a mandarin cake with saffron, vanilla, and oranges. In the old kitchen of my house, the smoked ham hangs, spreading its smoky aroma. In the afternoon, the guests will arrive, and I will place the cake on the terrace. Here, you can catch the floral scents from the garden. Now the guests can come.

When applying this fragrance, the first thing that hits you is a soft, sweet, smoky, floral, slightly citrus scent that is more masculine than feminine. Slowly and gently, a woody note comes around the corner. Additionally, the woodiness of the vanilla and amber join in, adding a creamy accent that is further highlighted by a touch of freshness.

I personally find the discussions about the bottle completely unnecessary. I assume that the designer who created this bottle was inspired by the cones often found as decoration in Baroque gardens, and probably less by a love toy from a Beate Uhse shop.

The longevity and sillage are very good.

Here we have a unisex fragrance that I personally see more for men than for women, as it does have a masculine note, albeit with a slight sweetness. Since this fragrance is quite mature, I would say it is suited for those in their mid to late 20s. It can be wonderfully worn on cooler and cold days. Those with the courage can, of course, wear it on hot days as well. During the day, it can be worn in the office, at a meeting, during meals, or while shopping, but I would apply it discreetly. In the evening, feel free to apply more to stand out in a club, bar, disco, or party.

If you enjoy a sweet, smoky, floral, slightly citrusy, woody, creamy scent, you will be well taken care of by the Spaniards.

Soft, Softer, Amber Ghost
I discovered this fragrance in a perfumery in Mannheim.
I wanted to smell something new, something I hadn't encountered before.
The nice saleswoman then recommended this scent to me.
It's rare that I smell a fragrance and immediately think: "I have to have this!"
That was exactly the case in that moment!

However, it often happens that the fragrance takes a completely different direction.
That is not the case here at all! The scent starts off soft, almost like an angelic fragrance, then becomes lighter and softer, and in the drydown, it acquires a pleasant sweetness.

In my opinion, this is a good everyday fragrance if you simply want to smell nice and not be too overpowering.

The longevity is more than satisfactory; even after 8 hours, you can still perceive the scent.

Pleasant Sweetness with Amber
I had to wait a long time - always sold out or already reserved, and then I finally got lucky.
First off, a clear statement: Yes, it is a sweet fragrance. For me, this sweetness carries through all levels and notes. It remains pleasant and balanced. In the opening, it is primarily carried by the mandarin, accompanied by a hint of incense. This is not dominant, but rather adds a fine, light smokiness to the start.

After about 20 to 25 minutes, the top note transitions into the heart note. The sweetness continues here, now stronger through the orange blossom, while a woody nuance becomes noticeable in the background. It creates the impression that the sweet components are merging with the woody-warm elements, making them somewhat less tangible, but more harmonious.

Relatively quickly, amber, tonka bean, vanilla, and ylang-ylang come to the forefront. This combination carries the fragrance further and enhances the sweetness without making it monotonous. It changes its character but remains consistently present. Whether smoky at the beginning, slightly woody in the middle, or warmly ambred as it develops - the sweetness is part of the fragrance at every stage and holds everything together.

The amber itself resonates, in my opinion, quite early on and becomes increasingly prominent over time. Overall, the fragrance is present and distinctly perceivable.

A little anecdote to conclude: I use thin fabric cloths to better perceive fragrances. Right now, there are two next to me, enveloping my entire office - one with Amber Ghost and its sweet warmth, and the other with the nuances of Sugar Leather.

Beautiful blend of mandarin and saffron gets creaminess in the dry down. Not too spicy, can be worn on many occasions.

Initially feminine floral, slightly off-putting.
The leaf turns with beautiful mandarin that finds its foundation in vanilla/amber/incense.

At first, I briefly thought of Joop Berlin, but that fades quickly and turns into the current trend mush. It could have been interesting otherwise.

Dominant incense note, complemented by subtle spices and an oriental base. I haven't experienced anything like this, so it's unique and beautiful!
