Ruined other fragrances for me

I swear after wearing this daily it's ruined less expertly blended and more cosmetic smelling fragrances for me. This smells so clean and light, like you just took a shower and used your most expensive body scrub and shampoo. While other people don't seem to notice this perfume, I find it sticks to fabrics indefinitely. Personally, I can't pick out individual notes and I find it pretty linear but that doesn't bother me because I love how it opens. If you like fresh, clean scents, give this one a try!

A little on the nose but...

Is it a little to on the nose to call a tea scent refreshing? Even so I think it's well warranted for Etheral Wave which was gifted to me by Liis.

Ethereal Wave opens with a blast of bergamot, immediately settling into its tea notes after. It is cozy, comforting, evoking visions of you getting ready for a day of self care on a cool autumn morning with your favorite cup of tea.

The cardamom is there, albeit soft, adding just a touch of spice before you get to the woody musk that sits at the base of the fragrance. Like many of the Liis scents I've tried this is a scent that sits intimately close to you but when you're an over sprayer like me well...I got compliments throughout the work day for my first two hours at just walking by people. It lasted on my skin for about four hours but on my clothes well over seven.

For me this is this is for the cottage core aesthetic girlie who wants something bright yet comforting, the office worker who wants to speak before their scent does, or that person having a hard day and just needs a quick sprits of something to uplift their spirits.

Soft citrus white tea

This is very light and pretty and reminds me so much of L'Occitane The Vert - citrus aromatic tea - except maybe slightly less citrus, slightly more sweet, and with a slightly powdery woody edge. I like this better than The Vert, it feels more balanced and more tea, though to me it definitely reads white tea and not black tea. The longevity is actually very good considering the notes and how lightweight it is, but it is a very sheer fragrance and easily got lost among the rest of what I was sniffing and testing. I don't get cardamom or musk either, but honestly the fragrance feels perfect as it is.

I think this is the kind of fragrance you could douse yourself in and it would never feel too much.

Sprayed from the tester bottle at Ministry of Scent in SF on a 75F day. Worn about 10hrs at time of writing.

Snapple vapour

A mindful and demure beverage. A dainty, sugary glass of Snapple. This reads as black tea to me, dairy free and mildly-steeped. It’s citrus-forward, like Arielle Shoshana’s Monday, and generously sweetened, like Dear Polly. But Ethereal Wave has none of Monday’s opacity nor Polly’s nippy spice. It’s a lovely, yet watery tea. Longevity is, as one would suspect, ethereal. Didn’t last thirty minutes into light cardio (though that is an unfair test). I got much better mileage (~4h) on my pyjamas, where it created a gentle scent cocoon for evening reading.

Mental Snapshot: Pour a Snapple into a Muji diffuser. (Do not attempt at home).

Polly's little sister

If Dear Polly smells like cigars and Green Tea is too sweet and floral, try this one. It's a hot cup lemon black tea next toa fall morning campfire.

I may be an odd duck in that this seemed like too much in spring and summer, and now that the weather is cooling down I enjoy it. The bergamot seems less strong and I'm noticing the spice and musk along with the tea and wood.

This would be safe to wear anywhere, and it stays close to skin but the longevity is pretty good for a citrus based scent.
