... or is it not. When I first applied this fragrance in a perfume store, I initially thought it was BR540 and thus another dupe. Yes, this scent resembles it quite a bit at first. However, that changes relatively quickly, and the perfume develops its own character.

Upon applying the fragrance to the skin, you get a lovely sweet scent of jasmine and saffron. This is followed by caramel and woods that support the sweetness of the fragrance. Ambroxan and oak moss quickly join in, significantly reducing the sweetness of this scent. This makes it more masculine and better suited for men.

The longevity and sillage of this fragrance are very good.

This wonderful scent is well-suited for both genders and appropriate for any occasion in spring, autumn, and winter. It is also suitable for chilly summer days.

Anyone who enjoys something sweet and woody will find this fragrance a great choice. I like to wear it.

Which is the best BR540 dupe?

I don't know any perfume that has as many scent twins and dupes as Baccarat Rouge 540. I also don't know a fragrance that is replicated so wonderfully (shockingly well) and offered at a price that makes the small wallet smile and sigh with relief. It's definitely worth testing the fragrance world here.
I also started with the dupes but in the end, I absolutely had to own the original (that's what happens when you're bitten by the collecting bug).
A dupe that I personally declared as "one of the best dupes" is 66 Avenue Eau de Parfum.
In the top notes, I smell saffron and jasmine, very soft, elegant, and pleasantly sweet.
In the base, the woody notes join in with a very fine, not too sweet caramel (many perceive it as cotton candy).
It becomes lighter throughout the day, and the sweetness slightly decreases, but it is still clearly detectable even after 8 hours.
What is special about it is that it is slightly weaker in sillage than the original, and that's exactly what I like so much. You don't have to worry about over-spraying it. No matter how much you spray, it is present but never too much or intrusive.
Yes, and I want to confirm the statements below: it is a "great" scent.
