For an Early Summer Date
Two years ago, I bought Cuir de Marrakech by Maissa for the first time blind and have since been testing my way through the house. This scent is so far one of the most beautiful for me. The other fragrances occasionally have a slightly sharp note; this one does not.

The fragrance has a lovely tonka bean note, with a light, creamy orange note. Those who enjoy gourmands will also like this scent. For me, the best part is that the fragrance consistently retains the orange note. A perfect spring/early summer scent that you can't overspray. Imagine you have a date in the vineyards in early summer and are drinking a Pinot Gris. The golden hour is just beginning, bathing you in a light orange glow. This fragrance is perfect for that.

I can only confirm that the prices vary greatly and can only recommend looking at small French online shops.

Surprising House…
Maison Maissa is a house that I find very exciting. I'll come back to this when I describe Destin. It all started, of course, with the appearance. I admit that this is how you get my attention. Simple, yet elegantly designed bottles generally appeal to me more than pompous ones. This led me to start researching, and what I immediately noticed is that well-known retailers unfortunately do not offer it. As with everything, demand determines supply. There are a few smaller perfumeries that have dared to offer Maissa. With immense price differences compared to what the house itself charges. Suspicious? Not at all! Upon inquiry as to why, I found out that they have to. The products are not selling. Hmmmm, I thought, "what the farmer doesn’t know…" Staying on that is, of course, less economically advantageous than making a minimal profit.

Regarding Destin des Anges. I got a 10ml sample. I have to test it properly. I immediately thought of "Casamorati - Lira (Eau de Parfum) | XerJoff" with the first spray. But here’s the thing, the longer it sits on the skin, the more it becomes its own scent, chocolatier, creamier, richer than "Casamorati - Lira (Eau de Parfum) | XerJoff", while the orange remains constant throughout. Bombastic sillage, longevity at least 7 to 10 hours. Of course, the bottle has moved in with me.

Soleil de Portofino Eau de Parfum was next for my husband. Here too, I immediately thought Aventus, but then it also developed into a completely independent fragrance. The bottle moved in directly without a sample, but then moved out again. My husband likes neither Aventus, nor did he give Portofino a chance. However, I heard from the new owner that it is his new summer scent.

At the beginning, I said that I find this house exciting. Exactly for this reason, they start with something familiar, hardly anyone thinks "oh, expensive clone." Then they say, "no, we are us, and we do our own thing!"

I have become an absolute fan of the house. I ordered a few fragrances, and I am very much looking forward to testing them. I just say, dare to try it. You will not be disappointed.

Wow! Smells almost 1:1 like "17/17 - Symphonium | XerJoff" and that for the price?

A fine herb-gourmand scent with a citrus note. It immediately reminded me of "17/17 - Symphonium | XerJoff". It’s hardly inferior to it.

A Jaffa Cakes dream that closely resembles the "17/17 - Symphonium | XerJoff."
A must-have for fall/winter. I could just dive in :)

Is the "Casamorati - Lira (Eau de Parfum) | XerJoff" 2.0? I don't know, every time I smell it, Lira comes to mind. But better.

Creamy O-chocolate is ruined by patchouli. The bitterness is disturbing, along with an unusual freshness + strong sweetness. Too much masculine contrast for me.

At first spray, I thought it was acqua e zucchero, but I was wrong - a delicate and fluffy scent that's irresistible.

Brighter "17/17 - Symphonium | XerJoff" with fluffy vanilla marshmallow.
Feels a bit youthful, poor longevity, but a cheerful scent.
