Rose Water and Fancy Soap
Very soapy with a synthetic citrus note. Smells like lemongrass and soap. Perhaps bergamot? I imagine this is what a vintage grapefruit soap might smell like. Reminds me of the scent of sticky unscented lip gloss. A shaving cream note. Feels like staying at an old luxury resort and getting ready in the bathroom after a shower. There is a purple floral, nothing overpowering or harsh. Not picking up on the soap/floral/powder, to me this one feels more moist - like a bar of soap thats just been used rather than a puff of hair spray. This one is hard for me to pinpoint any notes, its in a realm that I don’t often gravitate towards. I could see my grandma enjoying this, but as it dries I also enjoy it more and more.
After reading notes: I dont pick up on rose here but i could totally see the cold rose here, I actually really think its a beautifully done note, esp as someone who isn’t a rose fan. The cassis gives that juicy cool purple fruit of the black currant, without much tangyness. The poplar bud notes smell very nostalgic and comforting for me. The oakmoss is giving that earthy cold metal feeling. I really respect this being one of the first Rose scents that I could see myself enjoying. Mario Badescu rose water.
