Scented cat litter and hair perm solution

Smells like scented cat litter and hair perm solution at a 90s hair salon combined with grabbing your cat and sniffing it to make sure it still smells like a plush toy. It's an artistically addictive perfume that I keep having to sniff, but not one I would personally like to wear or smell like.

The opening has a sharp skankiness that goes away after a few hours. I assume that's because of the castoreum. The drydown is softer and more powdery and overall it lasts a long time.

Pampered Day at the Hair Salon

Wow holy fruit pit. Smells like dark cherries or again plum (i need to smell fruits to be able to name a different note hahah) Sweet and I can totally get the fur note? Like running your hands on a really silky soft fur blanket. Theres a sweet floral hiding, but to me it feels very fruity in a vintage style. It’s really cool how I can get the slightest hint of cats purring in bed. It feels like the best cat moms home. Smells like the bowl at a hair salon? Getting my hair washed in the bowl with the cold ring on my neck, smells like really fruit forward shampoo being rubbed in my hair. Alittle hint of barbicide. As it dries down - it is soooo expensive but cozy hair salon vibes. The owner is wearing a fur coat and gossiping at the color bar. Leather plush salon chair. Would wear this whenever I want to feel pampered and put together.

After reading notes: The champagne, peach and Solar notes are i think whats pulling in the salon note. The oakmoss is pulling an inky shampoo note. The pear scent in the ambrette musk is also shinning through. The orris is very purple, violet leaning rather than that plastic scent. The castoreum is pulling in that animal leather scent. Comments about the hairspray note are on point, but doesnt smell like piss to me at all.

Gang, I can’t do it. The gold-plated peach bellini dry down is not worth the first half-hour of wee. I get pure dank, stank ammonia. That paired with the pale powdery florals paint the picture of a perfumed litterbox or Febrezed latrine. (Albeit a fancy, neo-Rococo one). I love a good musk, but this is just too janitorial for me. The other thing: Maggie has claws. This scent is a lingerer. It took an everything shower to get her completely off my skin. Kind of peeved that my fave MZs are all ghostly in lifespan, but the ones I don’t jive with last forever.

Mental Snapshot: You’re an heiress left to your own devices in the Ritz’s presidential suite. Fresh-cut fruit, bouquets of blooms, a bottle fizzing with pink champagne. Too bad you lack the thumbs to pour. You are forced to swat it off the table and lap it straight from the carpet. (You're a cat, don’t ask questions). By the time you sober, the whole suite is reduced to piss and ribbons. Fancy Feast is going to cancel your brand deal if the tabloids hear...

an exercise in restraint

I've got a sampler set from Marissa Zappas, and I don't know if it is just me, but are all of these scents really subtle and subdued?

Today I am wearing Maggie the Cat is Alive! I’m Alive and, firstly, I should confess that I’m not coming at this scent from a place of attachment to its inspiration. With the exception of an overwrought snippet or two, I have never seen Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. From what I gather, it's a whirlwind of melodrama and histrionics and conflicted, tormented souls. And considering that, this fragrance is quite an exercise in restraint.

It is the olfactory equivalent of hushed whispers, fading echoes, and pale shadows further muted by weak sunlight. The champagne is a warmed, still echo in its glass, the effervescence long gone. A delicate tension simmers between the dripping sweetness of peach and ambrette’s intimate, powdery musk, all set against an understated backdrop of cool, elusive floral notes and the gentle, woody humidity of oakmoss. Maggie the Cat isn’t at all the piercing shrieking experience that I expected, but offers instead an introspective, understated moment
