Oud Bouquet at the Easter Fire..
The scent starts off very smoky, so smoky that it really smolders.. Rose and honey play the main roles here. The fragrance bears an enormous resemblance to Ôud Bouquet. For me, it's almost a 99% dupe but here with a hefty dose of Easter fire smoke that almost chokes you. So it is quite intense. It is also noticeably sweeter than its bigger sister, and the honey smells extremely sticky. I absolutely do not smell the tobacco note, and the patchouli nearly gets lost in the smoke clouds.
Hmm, it's actually quite nice but only if you don't know Ôud Bouquet and "Resala | Arabian Oud / العربية للعود". The latter two have more sophistication for me, although "Resala | Arabian Oud / العربية للعود" plays in its own and higher league.. "Foreplay | My Geisha" is like, smelled a thousand times and nothing more.. It just smolders way too much here for me.. Those who like it smoky, very sweet, and heavy might find something here. Especially those who like Ôud Bouquet and can imagine and wish for the scent with about 50% more smoke aroma..
