Cool Jazzman
Recently, I commented on Compassionate Sandal from the Dubai label My Perfumes with all the details regarding its composition (0% alcohol, 100% perfume oil), the high-quality bottle plus luxurious box, as well as the source of purchase. As promised, I wanted to introduce another fragrance from the line, and my choice fell on Hot Vanilla.
First of all, it should be mentioned that all friends of vanilla or even vanilla enthusiasts will need to be very brave: you will unfortunately find none of your favorite substance here. I have no idea why this Eau de Parfum is named so, but the scent has nothing to do with the pods of the tropical orchid plant.
For those who continue reading, at least you will learn that "Hot Vanilla" still has its olfactory justification. After all, the perfume initially exudes a refined blend of fresh, fruity, and floral notes. And not at all in an intrusive way, but rather timidly, yet with a subtly seductive charm.
When it comes to pineapple, one might have thought of Aventus, but here too, there is nothing to report. Luckily, because "Hot Vanilla" develops relatively independently and, after the brief pineapple-citrus opening, makes way for a bright, cool version of jasmine, which in turn gives the whole thing a carefree aura. In the background, I perceive a hint of a soapy nuance.
Against the very late onset of the end, "Hot Vanilla" becomes somewhat denser and more stable due to the heavier base notes, while the ingredients like sandalwood, amber, and musk remain relatively discreet. What remains until the end is still this fresh-citrusy-floral accord.
For me, "Hot Vanilla" is overall more of a fresh floral scent, interestingly not at all feminine, but absolutely unisex. Normally, floral scents tend to cause discomfort, but with this one, I consistently had a good, if not even positive feeling and it excellently compensates for the absent vanilla. Hats off!
