One Day, The Sun Will Turn Into Crystal
Crystal Sun is a gorgeous creamy floral fragrance with some sunscreen scent without being overly coconutty. It is prosperous and sensual. I’m not a big fan of very sugary sweet perfumes. This perfume definitely has sweetness, but in a more adult and acceptable way. The lightness is excellent for those hot summer months when you want a subtle scent without overpowering everyone around you. A beachy Vanilla Coconut Citrus fragrance that scents the skin in a creamy tropical way. I picture the scent of an expensive beach vacation at a desert island resort. Smooth, creamy, soft, bright, cuddly, and wearable under impalpable clothes in very light fabrics.
The opening is fresh, mainly sour and citrus, and the creamy coconut comes to the surface over time. It has a discreetly summery undertone, with a soft sun-drenched bergamot that combines with a pleasant mandarin and delicate jasmine to create a lovely accord that is not opulent, indolic, or overly tart. A stingy, zesty, and sparkling ginger note ooze from the concoction momentarily. The floral bouquet blends nicely with the brighter notes. However, this is not a somewhat refreshing opening in classic colognes. There is a sense of waxiness, fattiness, and a little mellowness, like when we spread cream on the skin.
Approaching the middle phase, Crystal Sun gradually introduces sweeter components: the exotic flower of the frangipani is combined with the white pulp mixed with the milk of the coconut and gives a well-integrated impression of mineral vanilla, still keeping sunny and spicy without that gourmandism of puddings or vanilla cakes. There is a subtle background aroma here that reminds me of some sunscreens. Memories of sunscreen in the air come to mind when you walk by the sea in the summer when you lie on a lounger in the sun, and the light breeze is full of that subtlety of coconut and tropical flowers. There are also hints of a very lean and contemporary powderiness. In the heart, I seem to catch a sensual touch of tuberose, perhaps magnolia, with that typical fat and carnal aroma not at all headache-inducing.
Dry down is addictive. It smells even more like suntan lotion but is much better and not cheesy. Most coconut perfumes on the market smell synthetic, but this one doesn’t; I perceive a coconut with mineral reflections as not artificial. Now that all the tropical fruits and flowers have subsided, it’s warmer with more amber and vanilla notes. The creaminess persists thanks to the smooth and precious sandalwood. Unmentioned, my skin highlights salty ambergris and clean musk undertones to complete the picture of a day spent sunbathing on the white sand next to the ocean with the breeze blowing off the water.
This very flowery and fruity fragrance has a strong feminine bent. However, I wouldn’t be surprised to catch this beautiful scent on the manly skin of a male subject. Once the scent surrenders the initial and middle phases, the perfume takes on amber and musky tones that look good on a man. I get a moderate sillage, average projection, and a few hours of longevity on my skin, which lasts even longer on clothes. Definitely, a warm perfume for the summer season, to be worn during the day or in the afternoon. A little quirky for the office but perfect for leisure days, weekends outdoors, terrace parties, or as a perfume for clothes before hitting the beach. A pleasant summer scent that evokes the beach, what else?
