My secret lover!

Comforting but edgy
warming but daring
sweet but sour

Reading the fragrance pyramid, something masculine, oily and heavy came to my mind. And the pnk pepper should add a sharp spicyness. And ofc oud tends to appear as a soloist around which all other notes hover as servants.

But this one is the most velvety oud I've ever smelled. My secret lover of the moment!

On the skin, "Quandoley 805" becomes delicately sensitive as it tries to blend into the body's chemistry. The note of olive oil adds greenish intrigue first. But it dissolves soon into gourmandy sweet depths.

Of course, landing on vanilla sweetness is a safe bet - but with the resins and ylang ylang, it has enough character to wear for a long time.

It´s a hidden gem, but would´nt dare to suggest it as a blind buy ;)

Btw - does anyone know if Quandoley has a meaning? I didn´t find any references ... Sounds like a bit oriental mystery ;)

Quandoley - The journey on the luxury express train

...without a clear goal.

I had already written a statement. But in my opinion, this fragrance deserves a more detailed description.

So I am dedicating this review to the latest(?!) release "Quandoley 805" by Maison Noir, a relatively young perfume company run by Claudio Denz, the son of Silvio Denz, a Swiss entrepreneur and collector of works of art and fine wines.
The latter has also taken on some existing and promising brands in order to crystallize the best of them. Also in order to help some of them back, or even completely fine-tune them.

Probably the most important example of this is Lalique, with which René Lalique experienced his breakthrough at the beginning of the last century with exquisite and filigree glass art. Silvio Denz is currently the CEO of Lalique Group SA.

Perfume bottles and sophisticated glass art were inseparable, especially when the fine fragrance water compositions of the former perfumers became increasingly popular and well-known. Silvio Denz seems to be fully dedicated to many of the different aspects surrounding luxury goods and pleasure.
At this point, I recommend doing your own research if you are not already familiar with it.

Maison Noir, co-created by entrepreneur Claudio Denz, has created a very interesting concept. You can discover inspired olfactory adventures through different doors in a fictitious location of a town house. I recommend taking a look at the website. I think it's really well designed.

I got to enjoy "MN - Quandoley 805" at the end of this summer through a manufacturer's sample.
As I found out on the website, the numbers are fragrance directions. According to the fragrance wheel created especially for Maison Noir, #805 is therefore 8 = spicy, 0 = wild and 5 = ambery. In my opinion, this is correct. But the fragrance is also really sweet.
For me, as already mentioned in the statement and in a review of a fragrance that has certain similarities, it has something of a spiced syrup. There is also a note that reminds me of glazed delicatessen chestnuts from a gourmet fair. And of course it's also Christmassy for me. A spicy-sweet, subtly resinous-smoky amber fragrance that radiates homeliness in front of the fire.
So it could also be a kind of mulled wine note that I perceive.
For me, however, it is also clearly a gourmand of the heavier variety, which I like to wear in the fall and in the approaching winter and Advent season.
My sample is still long-lasting thanks to its intense texture. I am considering buying one of the very elegant bottles. However, due to the massive and edible nature of the fragrance, I can only imagine using it in cool to cold weather.
But who knows, I have often been surprised when it comes to these attempts to categorize by season. Time will tell.

I'm not going to write anything about the progression and development of the fragrance just yet. So far, it has been a little different every time. All in all, I perceive it as fairly linear.

A clear recommendation from me to test it. The fragrance does justice to the scenario depicted, the journey according to the nose (!) :) in an old luxury express. Also great and appropriately staged in terms of color.

Pafory Day 9: First sweet, then spicy and then smoky

Quandoley 805 - interesting, I had to read it straight away. In the Tar, the fragrance is inspired by a journey on the Orient Express. Now, I've never had the pleasure myself, but as it progresses from sweet to spicy, then smoky and spicy again, I can see in my mind's eye an elderly lady boarding the train with her massive tapestry bag. She has pinned up her gray hair with small brown combs and is dressed in gray tweed. Does this woman smell like this fragrance? Unfortunately, I don't get the olive oil, but although I don't like the sweetness and the slightly synthetic note, this really is a fascinating fragrance. Extremely interesting

Good midfield

I really like "Quandoley 805", but the perfume has not become a favorite of mine. For me, it's a nice and pleasant perfume that fits perfectly in the evening.

I can smell benzoin, vanilla, ylang ylang, incense and oud. Unfortunately, the oud comes out a little too strong for me personally and that bothers me minimally in the perfume.

The intensity is really very strong, only the durability could be slightly better (even if you perceive the fragrance for about 5-6 hours)

I will gladly use up my sample, but I don't need a bottle of the perfume.

Fruity, warm, oudy, great!

Oh, how I love you!
At first I wasn't immediately convinced, but after the 2nd time I wore it I was very taken with you.
A wonderful blend of fruity and soft notes with a beautiful warm, woody and slightly oudy base. The oud is very delicate and only in the background. Perfect for beginners

A great fragrance for fall/winter that I will definitely wear again in the spring
Lasts about 5 -6 hours on me, not a bomb but also not completely below average.
