soup memory
honestly i was half expecting this to be some kind of curry gourmand or something- i was definitely expecting the notes to send this into a dinner type smell. however, instead what i got was a wonderful citrus soap smell- like some kind of premium hand soap. the ginger adds such an interesting sensation to the whole thing, it does really have a little bit of a tom kha feeling to it. not a real bowl of tom kha gai, but the most perfect idyllic bowl of soup, just out of reach, maybe you have to leave your hotel room to get to it. but it is there in my mind. not close enough to eat, nor real enough- but it does conjure memories of some really good thai food i've eaten in my life. i'm really excited to check more of this house's work out. especially thai soda- which is very next on my list.
