Forest undergrowth, moss and mushrooms with a slightly earthy and smoky character
The initial phase has the character of a forest fragrance for me. However, it is not only trees, leaves or needles, but more like forest undergrowth, moss and mushrooms with a slightly earthy character. There is also smoke in the background. The whole creates a rather specific scent, which is both interesting and very natural. Unfortunately, I don't really like the base note. I feel that it becomes more synthetic and lacks the composition idea of the first phase. However, it is worth testing this perfume to form your own opinion.

Good but not for me
I don't know why but I can't quite get the hang of this kind of smoky and spicy fragrance. The quality of the perfume is very high and you can tell that it is very concentrated. The performance is also very good and it feels very natural. The negative part is that I do not know if I like to smell like that, but as an olfactory experience it is quite a hoot!

Prissana / Chetyre
The beginning is lemon-bergamete meeega, even an extract of these fruits. You can get the impression of some strong citrus, mega-strong. For some it may be a plus, for others it may be a minus. Do not rest on this first impression as this smell varies greatly over time. There is a lot going on in it. Juniper, rosemary, thyme, cedar and cypress are starting to come out. Lots of conifers and spices, which in my opinion will sound better on a man. Yes… in my opinion they have a male tilt. After some time, all these citrus fruits begin to give way to the above-mentioned notes and, additionally, some 'dirtier' notes (I do not know what Antonio Gordoni hid, but slightly animal for me), plus tobacco. A really interesting and very good player in my opinion. Personally, I often have a problem with 'summer' smells, but summer, or rather hot, in zones where it is at least plus 30 degrees. Then I like some vetiver and a few 'fresher' scents, but after 2-3 days of use-they bore me terribly (eg aqua di sale, the lobster, squid, gray vetiver). I like them very much, but 3-4 days max. In this case it is different, probably because of this variability over time, the later darker notes and the non-obvious nature of this perfume.

Ingredients by some sites:
bergamot, grapefruit, lemon, neroli, clove, black pepper, rosemary, thyme, camphor, cedar, juniper, cypress, rose, jasmine, vetiver, benzoin, tobacco, resins, sandalwood.

Travelling through the forest partly burned down by forest fire
The opening is strong smoky birch tar, birch wood burned to a coal. As if you stepped foot into the remains of the forest damaged by forest fire, and you first walk through the burnt part. Even the mushrooms got smoked, you still catch a whiff of them... There is also something animalic lingering in the air... As you walk further, the burnt part of the forest slowly gets replaced by the still alive growing part. The smoke gets weaker but never quite fades.

The smoky birch tar-ness of this scent reminds me of Feu Follet by LVNEA, but more umami and with leather in it.

Ivy-Hung Leather
Chetyre is actually a relatively extreme fragrance for me, at least at first glance. Just as extreme is the listing of the ingredients; Prin seems to have felt compelled to act on the principle that more is more. For me, the fragrance is dominated by a note not listed, more on that later. Overall, the leather comes through, but it remains rather green for hours until it then enters into other collaborations.

It opens with rough leather; leather that hasn't been properly tanned, or rather, as it was done in the past, resulting in something raw and penetrating lingering in the air.
Suddenly, the fragrance takes on a sharp-green note; I initially thought of bay leaf. No, what emerged was parsley. Sharp, spicy, and intense. At least that's the olfactory impression I gained. In the end, the ivy must have been responsible for this effect, along with the moldy forest scent that has settled in the leather. This is the most intense part of the fragrance.

Now, Prin has already created leathery moor landscapes, but here he is unable to do so. The sharp-green element is too intense, the fragrance too linear. Only hours later does the green recede.
What remains is a leather that appears increasingly supple. Here, delicate floral nuances obviously unite with the rough leather without being sweet. This is missing, and it makes the leather seem supple.

In any case, the development is again very successful; Chetyre evolves, is multifaceted, and here and there individual woods flash through. The resins envelop the Russian leather, and I only notice the tar faintly in the background. To me, it has a Black Star quality thanks to the numerous floral supporting players.

Conclusion. Let's be honest: I appreciate some of Prin's fragrances very much, I also see the flood of releases, and I must admit that I feel newer fragrances are becoming more harmless and generic or are not properly constructed to the end. I find that very unfortunate. Perhaps Chetyre could be a 7.5 or more fragrance, but on the other hand, Prin has composed similar things often enough and really just needs to piece together elements. The outstanding development alone is not enough for me.

(With thanks to Floyd.)

Chetyre offers a smoky, leathery contrast with sensual skin-like notes. Birch tar adds a touch of smokiness without being overpowering
