The Elixir of Generosity: True to its Name
What a masterpiece of complexity and blending!
The opening is dark yet fruity. I get a juicy blackberry and smoky leather. I perceive a plasticky, medicinal note and an animalic touch. Both are subtle and fade away rather quickly, but are enjoyable while they last.
In the heart, the blackcurrant, saffron, and rose unveil themselves. Everything is so well-blended – the notes move together as one. It’s fruity, spicy, slightly smoky, and leathery; smooth and hypnotizing. Everything lies on an amber and musk base, but I can’t clearly distinguish the base notes (i.e., patchouli, heliotrope, or moss).
The bottle is black, like each scent from the Anima collection, but it fits Mansa so well. It’s dark and mysterious yet somehow very luminous. Andreas Wilhelm at his finest!
Based on an official Pernoire sample, tested on skin.
