Exciting box that pleasantly surprised me!
BlueForest really surprised me positively. This fragrance from Perroy may not be an absolute standout, but I find it quite exciting and above all beautiful. It simply matches my personal taste.
The scent exudes certain hints of an Orto Parisi Megamare, but turned down/milder a thousand times.
Additionally, it has slight peppermint vibes, a splash of aftershave, and over time it also gains parallels to fragrances like Bvlgari Tygar and others.
BlueForest contains three notes according to the pyramid listed here.
All three are perceivable to some extent, although cedar is rather subdued.
The scent is peppery, and this musky element is definitely present. Somehow, the fragrance seems to do much more, suggesting that there are more notes to be found.
For example, I would have expected marine notes, ginger, juniper, mint, or even lavender.
At first, you feel this peppery, clean freshness with a pleasantly citrusy flair. Then a slightly aquatic, marine vibe comes into play. After that, it becomes subtly fruity for me, and the citrus character remains consistent.
I really like it!
I didn’t expect this, as I unfortunately found the Tangerine Pearl somewhat "disappointing".
I would classify the fragrance, just like Perroy himself, in the unisex segment. However, I think it tends to suit men a bit better.
The performance is perfectly fine. On my skin, the scent lasts about 7 hours. The projection is a bit weaker, but still completely sufficient for me, and I would ultimately rate it the same as the longevity.
