Spice and wood mystery from the Emirates
This is a brand that is much less well-known than "Lattafa", "Rasasi" &Co. After all, it is from the United Arab Emirates, where high-quality and good fragrances are usually produced.
This "Black Wood" looks like a matt, shiny obsidian embedded in a beautifully decorated copper frame. Almost tactile, the black pepper is clearly recognizable, as is the cardamom and.... clove is probably also present.
When the woods - especially the oud - are added later, this matt, shiny dark impression deepens. The "ornate copper" then consists of amber and rosewood. A green, grassy shimmer is created by vetiver. Finally, a pinch of vanilla provides a "silky surface. This leaves me with a little fragrance mystery that is different from most of the scents I have smelled so far. Nevertheless, the fragrance is never loud and intrusive despite its good longevity and "sillage". However, it is also not a "mainstream" or "every nose favorite"... There is something moderately "niche" about it.....
