Green apple?
I had to wear this a couple of times to confirm what I was experiencing the first time I sprayed it. Right after the opening there is a sour, slightly sweet fruity accord that smells exactly like Granny Smith apples. It is completely absent from the notes listing or any official description I could find online, but it is undoubtedly there. Maybe it's the way I'm perceiving the sichuan pepper note?
On first spray there is that unmistakable dry, dusty orris note, and I thought it was going to develop into a more complex/natural version of Dior Homme Original (2011) Eau de Toilette, but then came that strong green apple note, which dominates for a few hours. Finally it dries down to a clean kind of dry musky freshness. It's alright, but I was hoping for more of an spicy/earthy take on orris, which is what I expected from the notes, rather than sweet green apple freshness.
