A comforting Oaty/Almond/Vanilla
I was lucky to be sent a free sample back in March and have been eagerly awaiting the release date to receive my preordered bottle. Finally it arrived today. I love Une Nuit Nomad. It’s always a mini adventure opening the packaging they clearly put soo much attention to detail and thought into. This is currently my favourite perfume in my entire collection. It was an instant love for me, and one that will be on my “scents for life” list!

Chemin D’amande opens with a very realistic crushed almond scent, a little bitter and a little sweet. I get the almond blossom as it dries down and the scent becomes sweeter and creamier. The vanilla and woody notes then join in, followed by a delicious oat like vibe. This is a soft, cozy and comforting embrace on a cold, dreary day. It lifts my mood and makes me smile when I wear it. It’s part of their Extrait collection, and I find the sillage and longevity both very good. Im obsessed with this scent and the scent bubble this creates around me. Perfectly unisex and well suited to spring, autumn or winter. It’s also light enough to be worn any time of the day. 10/10

If you like scents like Sulmona Essenza Confetto or Harvest Mouse, I think you’d enjoy this. This is what I personally wanted from Harvest Mouse, although I’ve also since layered these together. Definitely worth checking this one out if you enjoy sweet almond/oat/vanilla or even hay fragrances.

Nutty almond and bready vanilla
Chemin d'Amande (literally, "Path of the Almond" or "Almond Path") opens with the eponymous almond, but not the amaretto/marzipan benzaldehyde variety, more just nutty and dusty. It reminds me of the opening of Pegasus, but then Chemin goes down a different road. While Pegasus gets woody, aromatic, and musky, Chemin d'Amande goes more gourmand. A sort of waxy, plasticky, bready vanilla that stays pretty constant throughout. This one lasted quite a long time and projection was great, so not sure about the low performance ratings. Not sure if the complexity is there for a $3/ml extrait, but if you like nutty almond and bready vanilla this one might be for you.

A comforting almond vanilla treat for dreary days
A beautiful, creamy, gourmand almond greets me at the door. I'm immediately surrounded by warmth and comfort. The dreary thoughts slowly fade away as I'm swept up by this glorious, divine and beautiful composition. The almond is soft, elegant and rapturous. She's backed by a subtle vanilla. Not the overpowering, sweet, sacharine one we've seen in modern gourmands, but one that blends and mingles well, giving it subtle refinement. The wheat is grounded, refined and present, adding depth and complexity to an already beautiful composition. Warmth and comfort are the two major points to this scent. As it moves on, it becomes spicier, without going into the masculine territory and the sweetness becomes softer as almonds and vanilla make me think of a marzipan-like treat (without being too over the top).

I think it's hands down the best almond fragrance my nose has smelled (as of now) which is why it was an immediate yes to me. Almonds aren't too powdery and their creamy aspect is so enticing! I've since had the occasion to test it again on myself and my yes has further been strengthened. I do find that my skin chemistry gobbles up this scent as it becomes a close-to-the-skin scent after a few hours (2-3 hours), but since I still can smell it really well when I bring my wrist to my nose, the sillage isn't a problem for me. Will definitely be adding this one to my collection soon!

Almond hater approved!
Don’t you absolutely love it when you detest a certain note / certain notes in perfumery, and then find *the one* that makes you go, “maybe I don’t hate [note]?” Well, my almond awakening happened with this here beauty of a scent.

Chemin D’Amande compounds all the best part of the almond in this fragrance, and pairs it with the most delicious bourbon vanilla and wheat. Right off the bat, you are hit with a very realistic gourmand perfume. These type of scents tend not to be my fav, so I was surprised with how much I loved this one. First blast is a bit spicy and disorienting as the notes try to find their footing. But after about 5 or so minutes when the notes have settled, this becomes the most creamy and delectable milky almond. Not bitter almond, not green almond, not synthetic-cherry-lite almond, not sugared almond, and not powdery almond. A soft, creamy almond. The kind of almond you get after you’ve soaked them in water overnight and they soften. The wheat gives way to realism, while the vanilla adds sweetness with making it sickeningly so. It’s has a very sophisticated and cozy feel, while keeping its gourmand charm.

While the performance isn’t out of this world (and ngl, it should be if it’s going to be called an Extrait and given the price), but I’m okay with being a little more heavy handed with this. It’s gorgeous on its own, but I’m sure it will layer beautifully with florals that need sweetening, and woods that need softening. I got a sample at NYC ScentXplore this past December, and I blew through that thing so fast. Will be full sizing!

Masterpiece
What a masterpiece Une Nuit Nomade has created! Hooked by Leni's Scents, I ordered this fragrance blind. The prices at Une Nuit Nomade are great, especially since they are also of high quality.
The scent arrived today and I could hardly wait to test it.
Upon spraying, you immediately smell an absolutely authentic wheat note mixed with marzipan. Simply heavenly. Unfortunately, the wheat note fades into the background, but it's not completely gone. In the drydown, I get a creamy tonka bean with a hint of vanilla. Really cozy and soft, similar to Cuir Béluga Eau de Parfum or Tonka Impériale. The sillage and longevity are in the upper third. This fragrance is simply beautiful! A must-try in my opinion.

From a vanilla hater: starchy, milky but gritty, like sifting your hands through flour, powdery? More interesting than the notes come across

Top quality creamy sweet almond, linear, intimate > amazing smell but works best layered under some other scent to create seductive base.

Delicious almond and vanilla cake. I'm not too crazy about it (just a little too simple) but it's an easy & fun gourmand wear.

Almond comes first, then wheat flour, vanilla comes later in the dry down. It is nice, not too sweet, powdery.

Almond-heavy gourmand with floral-vanilla sweetness; strong but not unique, ideal for almond lovers, not for everyone
