I would marry with this scent
Finally, a white fragrance that doesn't scream, I am floral, I think that's great. It is bright, noble, cozy, delicate, milky-creamy, lightly powdery, and overall very comforting. I completely agree with "Floh," it's less of a perfume and more of a scent that merges with the skin and gives it a wonderful personal aroma, one might say. After a short, max 10-minute, somewhat medicinal opening of iris, the fragrance becomes quite subtle, though I wouldn't say skinny. For a brief moment, I almost think I smell some lavender, even though it's not listed in the notes. But that quickly fades away, and it turns into a lightly vanillic iris (which doesn't push itself to the forefront) with what I perceive not as coconut, but rather a very subtle almond milk note, spiced with a tiny pinch of cardamom. I don't really smell the pear, nor the sandalwood; so for me, it's neither woody nor fruity. They both resonate more like a tiny pinch of salt in a cake, to enhance the flavors.
A scent, either for cuddling or for very elegant occasions, such as a wedding. For that, one would be dressed quite elegantly.

Milky Coconut on the Moon
Do you know what? Today I learned from the Turquoise team that there are also more luxurious fragrances from Bvlgari. I had no idea until now, as most of the scents from this brand had passed me by… for whatever reason. Since my younger days, I had been less interested in the brand, and when I was even younger, I thought that the "v" in Bvlgari was pronounced like a "v", so I always said "Bflgari", argh :D

But a really lovely employee there (and yes, there are lovely and nice turquoise employees too!) showed me various fragrances and also introduced me to the Le Gemme Collection, of which she immediately rubbed Calaluna under my nose :D

She told me that the fragrance would contain coconut, but a look at the fragrance pyramid revealed that there was no coconut in it,… well, she just had no idea he he,… no, that's a joke, because the scent does indeed smell a bit like coconut, but read for yourself.

In any case, the Le Gemme fragrances represent a gemstone each (as you can tell from the name), and Calaluna stands for moonstone.

The fragrance:
The scent starts off creamy and milky and smells almost like coconut or coconut milk, even though this note is not listed in the fragrance description here. Additionally, the fragrance is pleasantly softly sweet. At first, there is a slight spicy note (which I personally find a bit unusual), I assume this is the cardamom. It takes a few minutes for this scent to settle down and for it to smell again like the coconut-like, sweet fragrance.
The pear is only hinted at, but you can perceive it for a short while, although you have to get your nose a bit closer to the sprayed area.
The iris gives the fragrance a familiar powdery direction and makes it soft, so it should appeal to most people here.
The fragrance doesn't really develop much; it remains milky soft and sweet even at the end, possibly with a slight hint of green notes in the background.

The sillage:
This is a point I can't quite understand, at least regarding the reviews here on Parfumo. To me, the fragrance came across as quite weak in terms of projection, even though I had it sprayed on me twice… Strange… Therefore, I think that this fragrance won’t leave a big scent cloud behind.
Thus, the longevity is also low, or let's say, it seems low. It lasted about five to six hours on me, after which the scent was really too weak to be considered lasting any longer.

The bottle:
The bottles have been designed to match the fragrances. They look like trophies, or rather like ancient amphorae, which were used to transport drinks, spices, and even gemstones in the past. And since each Le Gemme fragrance is supposed to represent a gemstone, the bottle design has been chosen quite appropriately, of course in a modernized form. The body of the bottle is black with golden accents. The cap reflects the colors of the moonstone, which this fragrance also represents. I find the bottles quite beautifully made.

I find the moonstone fragrance here quite successful, even though it still seems weak in terms of projection. However, the milky and coconut-like scent does rise nicely to the nose and smells good. Whether the fragrance is truly luxurious is something everyone must decide for themselves.

In any case, it is a fragrance for warmer days, as it is light and therefore not overwhelming. Due to the coconut-like scent, it would even be a good choice for vacation. With the lower sillage, it might not be a bad idea to get a decant of it, so you can reapply occasionally.

I think I will pay a bit more attention to Bfl… Bvlgari in the future, and I also think I will sniff through the entire Le Gemme Collection and thereby annoy the turquoise employees quite a bit :D

The candidate scores 40 points!
and indeed top marks for scent, longevity, sillage, and bottle. And that means something.

I treated myself to this fragrance as the highlight of my South France perfume trip...in the Galeries Lafayette in Nice (apparently this Le Gemme collection is only available here and in Paris).
Despite the high price (155 euros for 30ml), it had to be done; I wouldn't have lasted long without it. And it is worth every cent.
It was also one of the few fragrances where the "love at first sniff" lasted through the next and the one after that. The love even grew stronger!

About the scent:

it develops the (almost) final note right after spraying, which only changes slightly within a pleasant range.
I smell soft iris in the background and almond in the foreground (probably ambrette). These notes are bathed in warm milk, so they are perfectly rounded and agreeable.
At the same time, I smell something very clear; I wouldn't call it green at all, but the scent is not just milky. Hard to describe...maybe sugar water.
The sweetness in the fragrance remains pleasant; it definitely belongs there. I would call it lovely and likable, and I can't imagine anyone (even a sweet-hater) being bothered by it. It just fits.
The whole thing is anchored in a cozy amber base, which remains in the background, almost imperceptible.
I have never smelled anything like this before and am thrilled by the many facets and the good rounding of the scent. Also noteworthy is the longevity...8 hours PLUS a shower, and the perfume on my arm has almost survived unchanged.

I had my mother test it blind, and she said, "Oh, that smells expensive!" I asked why...she replied, "Because it's so balanced and unique!" I was speechless; she is usually not very fragrance-affine.

The scent is very close to the skin and connects well with the wearer; it is always there, yet not intrusive.

Now, when asked what my favorite fragrance is, I can confidently answer with Calaluna! I had struggled with this before, as I have many in the running.

Cinnamon Chai Tea Latte
Generously sprayed, the Russian-influenced, beautiful saleswoman raves about the sensual moonstone-colored elements of the bottle, which is truly a successful innovation, especially the black-gold, so elegant, with the beautifully chosen, rich colors.

The scent itself starts spicy-powdery (yes, that works), reminiscent of milk foam on a chai, Christmas, white powdered snow. The most beautiful heliotrope I have ever smelled is in the foreground, combined with the cardamom, which seduces like a chai tea, touches me, enchants me. It reminds a bit of cinnamon, very wintry, elegant, reminiscent of a white fur coat and twilight in winter, with snow-covered fir trees in a festive mood.

The top note almost tempted me to make a purchase, recklessly, without waiting for the transition to the heart and base notes; only the fact that there were only 100ml bottles available for CHF 350, with no smaller sizes available, held me back.

In hindsight, despite the uniqueness of the scent, I am not unhappy about it; the fragrance is very good, but very spicy, increasingly so, that it becomes a bit too much for me (hence only 90 instead of 100).

The scent then unfolds some ambrette, becoming lighter and softer and at the same time sensual, woody. Interesting.

A very special innovation in the fragrance world, something not smelled before, and truly recommended to give it a try!

And according to the saleswoman, once again many natural products have been incorporated. Perhaps that's why the proud price?

He belongs to me, like my name on the door
"Calaluna", what a beautiful name for a perfume.

I don't even remember how I became aware of this scent. Somewhere here on Parfumo in a comment or blog or "who knows where" I stumbled upon the name and that the fragrance was extraordinary. Well, extraordinary always interests me. So I took a closer look at this scent here. Hmmm, Iris (not ordinary iris - but white iris (!)), sandalwood, heliotrope, ambrette, and pear, all components that I love in fragrances. EXCEPT for cardamom, which completely put me off. Uhhh, no, and then the perfume is also classified as spicy and compared to Prada's Infusion. "No, no, that's not for me," I thought. BUT something wouldn't let me go - perhaps the milky aspect attributed to this scent (on Fragrantica, milk is even listed first among the notes). Well, off to Zurich to the only store I know that carries the "Le Gemme series." Luckily, there was no pushy saleswoman around who wanted to advise me immediately. And so I could calmly spray this scent and immediately "whoosh, whoosh" dash away again. I prefer to test fragrances alone and patiently to sniff out how they develop. And there it was, the disappointment. Yes, the scent is noble, and yes, it smells expensive, and yes, it has something - but it doesn't really "knock me off my socks." Nice little fragrance - but nothing more. A few hours later, when I was at home and kept sniffing the scent, I liked it more and more, and at some point, it became clear to me, it belongs to me. That is the fascinating thing about "Calaluna," it doesn't create a "Wow" when sprayed, but it CONVINCES by slowly enchanting the skin, making it smell lovely, milky, and slightly sweet. "Calaluna" is different from typical perfumes. In my opinion, "Calaluna" does not want to be a perfume that seeks attention, but rather a wonderful skin scent. "Calaluna" wants to smell like the skin of a delicate, fine young woman. And that is what makes the fragrance both innocent and sexy, I think. "Calaluna" is also simultaneously protective and demanding. A fragrance full of contradictions and, in a very subtle way, mysterious. I don't want to be without it anymore. A few days ago, I got it for myself, and it belongs to me, like my name on the door :).

About the scent itself: Right after spraying, it actually smells a bit like chai (which has already been mentioned here in the forum). Then, fortunately, the spiciness fades away quickly for me, and the "milk-cream note" takes full precedence, first a bit sour, which I don't like so much. However, the sour milk quickly turns sweet again. What remains on my skin for hours is something milky, creamy, and lovely. I smell heliotrope the most and indeed milk (I'm sure there's fresh alpine milk in there :)). Sandalwood is barely perceptible and gives the fragrance its base in the truest sense. I do not smell ambrette and pear individually.

All in all, I found it difficult to describe this fragrance because "Calaluna" is really not an ordinary perfume in its kind. "Calaluna" is different, mysterious, and yet so familiar.

Beautiful bright iris scent refined with soft floral notes and a hint of creamy sandalwood. Unremarkable, but very well done.

A truly well-rounded, delicately creamy floral scent without any annoying factor for me, but it doesn't really suit me. Nice!

I don't like coconut/milk, nor am I a fan of (Infusion d') Iris, but the combination of these = a beautiful melting scent.

Reminds me a bit of Kenzo Amour, just with iris. Creamy, soft-powdery, almondy, relaxing. Very, very pretty.

Almond milk spiced with a hint of cardamom + layered on sandalwood cream. Your skin, but better. Delicate alabaster skin. Bright, gentle, simple.

At most, it has a similarity to Infusion d'Iris in the top notes. Then it becomes creamy, powdery, almost milky, with a woody undertone, making it even more beautiful.
