for ylang-ylang lovers
I enjoy many of the L'Erbolario scents and consider this company to be one of the really bargain perfume brands. Most of their scents are well worth seeking out despite their rarity in the US. I got a sample of Accordo Arancio at Surrender to Chance based on its lovely note listing.

For the first five minutes, it was a pretty citrus-green along the lines of Thymes Mandarin Coriander. After that, the ylang-ylang appeared and kept getting bigger and bigger. In less than half an hour, I could no longer stand it and had to scrub. I do have a very limited white flower tolerance, so white flower lovers may enjoy this more than I did.

When Vanilla Invites Bitter Orange to Dance ...
The two "newcomers" from L'Erbolario were of course immediately on my wishlist.
Although I was a bit skeptical at first - a mandarin-orange scent for winter, and in a bright orange bottle to boot?
On the other hand, L'Erbolario has never disappointed me, so I tested Accordo Arancio during my next city stroll.

A herb-bitter yet very fruity orange greets me. I quite like that already.
The bitter orange is bright, juicy, and definitely not a wallflower.
Very soon, she is invited to dance by the vanilla. They take each other's hands and sway in a fruity-sweet three-quarter time.
With a cheeky glance, she keeps looking up at her dance partner, the bitter orange in her long dress and the orange ribbons in her hair.
Proudly, the vanilla holds her a bit tighter, and the transition to the left waltz is perfectly executed.

The two are the most striking dance couple in the hall. Mandarin, plum, and even amber join in, yet my eyes keep returning to the fruity-sweet-soft dance couple.

They dance an "endless" waltz - fascinating, graceful, sometimes melancholic, sometimes exuberant. A fine scent that is not intrusive yet stands out. They are a beautiful couple, the two ...

Once again, a very lovely fragrance from L'Erbolario that I am happy to have added to my collection.
Unfortunately, it is limited.

I also particularly like the outer box in delicate orange, adorned with a lantern plant and an orange branch, on which a little bird sits.

Vanilla Orange
Ahh, what a scent. Right from the first spray, a refreshingly bitter orange hit me, and I immediately knew that this fragrance could be worn well on warm days. At the same time, my chubby cat wanted to jump onto my table, but he sensed the orange from afar, stopped abruptly, widened his eyes, and perked up his ears. You could practically see all the alarm bells ringing in his head before he sought refuge.
Well, his own fault, as he missed out on a great fragrance…

The scent:
Upon spraying, one immediately perceives a very strong and bitter orange peel, but there are also hints of a somewhat similar-smelling mandarin. Among these notes, a slightly floral note emerges; I think this is the ylang-ylang. The lemon is less noticeable.
A few minutes later, the oranges and especially the mandarin unfold; they become quite intense but also refreshing and smell beautifully natural.
The oranges remain strong in the heart note, which could also be due to the petitgrain enhancing the perception of the orange fruits. Additionally, the scent becomes spicier with thyme. The plums seem to be absent, and jasmine is hardly present.
In the base, the very citrusy scent becomes milder. While it remains somewhat citrusy, it also becomes warmer and sweeter. This is partly due to the amber and the woody notes, but most prominently, the vanilla gradually comes to the fore. This mild note harmonizes surprisingly well with the citrusy orange and gives this fragrance a wonderful touch, with both notes being equally strong. Thus, this fragrance concludes with the vanilla and orange becoming a bit more intense for a while as the other notes slowly fade away.

The longevity is not bad, as the scent lingers for about six to eight hours. The sillage is also quite good. Initially very intense and easily perceptible to everyone, the fragrance can still be smelled well in the surrounding area later on. It leaves a (pleasant) scent cloud.

The bottle appears typically L’Erbolario with vibrant colors and an appealing design. It is cylindrical, orange, and features a picture of oranges and orange blossoms alongside the name on the bottle. The cap is also cylindrical and bronze-colored. Additionally, a silk ribbon has been attached between the bottle and the cap, which also bears the name of the fragrance and gives the bottle a nicer look. And for those who appreciate tactile sensations: at the very bottom, the brand of the fragrance is embossed, which may not be very visible in the image here on Parfumo.

This wonderful fragrance from L’Erbolario is really well made and seems to be a good all-rounder that can be worn on almost any day. Since the vanilla becomes quite strong later on, I wouldn’t recommend it on very hot days, but it is well-suited for spring and normal summer days if you enjoy citrus notes like oranges combined with vanilla. Especially because of the warm vanilla, it could also be worn in autumn or on mild winter days.
Despite being labeled as unisex, I find that this fragrance leans more towards the feminine side.

And no, my cat is not lured by the mild and sweet vanilla scent later on and stays where he is, squinting his eyes and grooming himself, making sure not to show that he has once again run away from something citrusy.

In any case, it’s always worth a test.

Vanilla Cream Massage for Orange Peel
"Accordo Arrancio" is a summer fragrance. And a gourmand. How does that fit? Well, bitter orange kisses vanilla. Refreshing yet warm. Delicious yet not heavy. Sweet yet zesty enough. An expressive and great combo. An uncomplicated citrus pony - for everyone who likes to make others' mouths water even when it's over 20 degrees.

The orange is bitter but never scratchy or old-fashioned, the vanilla subtly provides the backbone and remains light and airy. Not quite as high-quality as similar scents from Guerlain's Aqua Allegoria line, but never cheap. On the contrary - the quality is far above the price. So if you like creamy citrus scents like "Teazzura" or "Allure Edition Blanche," you should hit the wishlist button below. Especially since it is a limited fragrance that not everyone knows, let alone owns. A summer secret tip between refreshment and deliciousness, splash and calories, Garden of Eden and Dunkin' Donut.

Bottle: Color fits, a noble piece.
Sillage: slightly heavier due to the gourmand touch than summer average
Longevity: 5 hours - the oomph comes from the vanilla

Conclusion: is it an orange? Is it a vanilla? Yes. Yes! It is a good duuuuuuuft!!!

Warmer Orange Accord
Since I thought I was now (due to the lack of pre-mixed alternatives) stuck with homemade orange fragrance oil forever, this perfume (out of pure curiosity) was the only one I sniffed during my visit to the store. (Okay, I also tried two others from the brand on the test strip, but only the Arancia on my skin.

And it triggered an immediate emotional reaction in me! Not as flashy as Melograno, but that’s only for rare evening occasions, yet so beautiful! With my favorite fruit accord: orange citrus!

I find it to be a rather wintry orange scent (warm), which has the effect of not putting you to sleep in winter - meaning it invigorates (effectively). Creamy and with woody notes. Very harmonious and not boring.

The initial bright zestiness fades, but a zestiness remains dominant in the heart note; the vanilla becomes briefly more noticeable but then gives way again to this general, softly rounded zestiness.

You feel good.
And this scent has a kick note, I don’t know how else to describe it. That’s why I bought it. It’s a deep note that hits me directly in the stomach (and "kicks" there). When that happens, I want the scent. Otherwise, I would just smell and think: Yeah, okay, but... there would be no reason to have it.

It’s the fourth scent in my collection where this happens, and they have no commonalities at all.
(Melograno (but I can't wear that all the time), Chance Eau Fraîche Eau de Toilette (I can wear that layered daily), Cheirosa '62 (too gourmand for often) and Accordo Arancio.)

I find it curious and do not regret the purchase.

--> If anyone can say something about the "kick" phenomenon, I would be happy. (From the fragrance notes, I couldn't identify a combination that could be the definitive reason.) Does anyone else experience this with these or other perfumes?
(The kick is accompanied by a lasting pleasantness in the stomach. But just that, without the "kick," wouldn't be enough for me either.)

------
And regarding the corresponding body lotion:

Unfortunately, the perfume was sold out in the store (also in the other store I checked), so I ordered it online (after some consideration). But when I saw that the 200ml body lotion was reduced to €25 from €30 (and because there was nothing else for me to get in the store), I took it with me.

Unfortunately: I was disappointed with the scent experience of the cream. The special, fruity aspect is overshadowed/replaced by the cream base.

However, it harmonizes quite well with Cašmir Eau de Parfum.

With the intention of combining it this way, I applied the cream generously and extensively after showering.

At first, I was (positively) surprised by the consistency: it spread extremely well without giving the impression that the thin layer would not be enough for nourishment.
I probably could have gotten away with 1/5 of the amount used :-D
But even applied thickly, it absorbed wonderfully, so it worked out.

But then: I suddenly felt so good! It was as if my skin was happy and thanking me. (That has never happened to me before!) It also looked completely different: my whole body was glowing orange-gold (the cream is completely normal white)?

I don’t know what that was, maybe I just had never used a good cream before? (But I had already known all sorts of things, including Lavera- / Weleda- / Börlind-natural cosmetics; and Rituals, for example, had rather the opposite effect on me regarding my skin's joyful reaction.)

My immediate thought was: "I’ll never use another cream again!" A quick look in the bathroom cabinet: all the other opened ones - even the good ones from Lavera - and the still untouched new one from Weleda - I’ll now only use for deodorant (mixed with 1/3 baking soda)!

Yes, but why? The ingredients are already good.
But the main wonder worker here was probably the barley protein. I’ll keep an eye on that.

I’m just happy that the orange scent led me to this cream!
Although the peel extracts in it might interact negatively with stronger sun exposure... So no summer cream then. Anyway, it’s winter now, and I’ve found it!!

The soft mandarin orange loves floral softness and creamy cleanliness: fresh wellness with a soft focus, later with a hint of peel bitterness. Dry: wood.

Starts fresh + juicy with bitter orange. Ylang-Ylang adds a feminine touch. Warmer + sweeter with vanilla. Only okay up to 25 degrees.

More of a thin Ylang-Vanilla water with an orange hint.
Unfortunately, it doesn't appeal to me.
