Unusual

I expected more, having read the notes and coming from a perfumer who is usually interesting.
But it is a strange smell, not at all interesting. It does not give me anything that could give me good feelings, it is not even surprising.
It is a totally bland thing...
The greatest merit I give it is knowing how to hide in a composition such tasty and fruity top notes as those declared, and also that it does not smell of wood, with all that it supposedly has.
Unusual to say the least.
That was what I thought the early minutes. But a hour later, I started to smell the beauty, the warm things, the sweetness, the salt!

Unfortunately the performance is quite poor in silage and projection, there is nothing good I can say here.

A Keyhole to Guilt

What is he doing in there? What the hell is he doing in there? The door has been locked for days. The keys lost or forgotten. I see his hut drifting through the darkness, in the brooding haze of acidic rain, so warm it doesn’t even reach the clay floors, full of dark berries, carelessly trampled, slowly moving in the black light of the nights. He seems to be eating soft quinces in there. He sweats their sweet flesh from the glands and salt rings that creep into his undershirt. Like the cats that slink around the barrack, I can smell him through the keyhole. What is he doing in there? The walls bent, like in oak barrels, the berries fermented into port-wine sweet mists on his leather conscience. Something has left warmth in the wood, everything else seems to be forgotten.

With 'The Unleashed Apothecary' (the former sublabel 'Exclusive Blend R.A.W'), the self-taught Jimmy Bodin has separated from the Swiss label Jousset Parfums to independently distribute his handmade extraits.
"Blâme & Objurgation" moves in an extremely evocative tension field between sour (blackcurrant) and sweet-fruity notes (guava, which here resembles creamy quince) as well as the woody-animalistic Oud Maleki, which, with the salt, creates both slightly urinous-leathery (cat pee) and then again sweet-sweaty skin scents. While at the beginning the fruity nuances are lightly lilac-highlighted by the oud from the heart note, the fragrance seems to mature towards the base, with the bright woods and the red wine bringing forth more robust barrel aromas under the sweet-animalistic Maleki notes. All in all, this is far less demanding than it sounds; rather, it creates for me a rather sweetly warm, pleasantly hazy skin scent that becomes increasingly warm-woody, leathery, and lovely towards the end. The keyhole offers a moderate to skin-close glimpse of guilt for about seven hours.
