Ambergris showcase

Apparently Jimmy Bodin did not even bother to disguise the off-putting opening smell with some pretty top notes, knowing the drydown will have that wonderful blooming effect of natural ambergris. This 'patina' - as Antoine Lie rightfully calls it - is well worth the wait. It is framed by orris, tobacco and a soft cocoa powder. All very subtly dosed, really letting the ambergris work with the skin. Low in sillage but high in complexity and absolutely thrilling.

sweet, slightly gourmand, animalic and salty

direct perfume. ambergris, cocoa, floral. at first he hadn't convinced me at all, but after a while a magic was created on his skin. really nice, animalic bordeline.
do I recommend a blind purchase? maybe yes, if you don't have financial problems :) would i buy the whole bottle? no, except by collection. however one of the most beautiful fragrances of the brand
