Rhapsody in Lavender
Dawning with a juicy, tart/sour bergamot-lemon-yuzu punch accented by piney/terpenic facets from frankincense, the symphony of lavenders wastes no time in beginning to play, subtly supported in back by dancing orchids, humming magnolia, a dim neroli light and provocatively snapping styrax…
Soon the main chorus begins to play, with Lavender taking Oakmoss and Oud in hand, all three belting out melodies of greens and purples, of ferns, foliage and forest floors, of growth, life, and hope… and their harmonies go on on until the sun sets outside the theater.
As dusk turns to night Oakmoss and Oud carry on in intimate duet, Labdanum strumming and providing occasional backup vocals in a performance that seems to go on into the depths of twilight, nearly until first light, and as the show wraps up just as sun peaks over peaks in the distance, not an audience member leaves without a lasting impression, an experience they aren’t likely to forget for some time to come, of such a profound occurrence that it even seems to leave the same impression on the very land, that it’ll forever be associated in their minds with such ecstasy, such elation, such unadulterated enjoyment…
Bravo, maestro, bravo!
