DNA of Allure Homme Sport Superleggera, but unfortunately not a banger.
At first, Ares by Velixir comes across as pleasantly fresh. The mandarin stands out positively to me right away, giving the fragrance a lively, slightly sparkling aura, while the citrus notes overall appear very clean and modern. As it develops, it becomes a bit softer, without offering any major surprises for me. The woody nuances in the drydown are noticeably weaker than I expected. Instead, on my skin, musk and patchouli are primarily in the foreground, giving the fragrance a pleasant, subtly warm finish.
For me, Ares clearly carries the DNA of Allure Homme Sport Superleggera, even though the similarity feels like a maximum of 80 percent. This makes it quite likable, but not particularly distinctive. Overall, it is a solid fragrance that does many things well, but it doesn't truly excite me. I was especially disappointed by the rather weak projection and only average longevity. Therefore, my 10-ml sample is more than enough for me - I currently don't see a full bottle in my collection.
