Icarus Velixir 2025

This is a very convincing Blue Talisman-style fragrance. It opens bright, crisp and fruity with that almost sparkling, electric freshness, then settles into a smooth, clean woody-musky profile. What impresses me most is that it doesn't lose that fruity freshness once the opening fades—it stays woven into the scent and gives Icarus that polished, expensive character.
If you know Ex Nihilo Blue Talisman, the resemblance is immediately noticeable. Icarus captures that same modern, airy, slightly sweet luxury vibe without smelling harsh or overly synthetic.

Velixir Icarus is an absolute compliment beast and one of the standout fragrances in my collection. From the first spray, it gives off a smooth, refined, and luxurious vibe that makes it feel much more expensive than you might expect. What I enjoy most is the beautiful woody drydown, which smells sophisticated, masculine, and incredibly smooth on the skin. It has that perfect balance of freshness and depth that makes it easy to appreciate without feeling overly heavy.

The performance is where Icarus really shines. Longevity is excellent, easily lasting eight hours or more on my skin, with impressive projection that gets noticed by people around me. I’ve received multiple unsolicited compliments wearing this fragrance, including several in a single day. That kind of reaction says a lot about how appealing it is to others.

Overall, Icarus is a fantastic fragrance for anyone who wants to smell confident, classy, and effortlessly attractive. Between its smooth scent profile, strong performance, and compliment potential, it has earned its place among my personal favorites. Definitely a certified banger!

I LOVE this scent. The only problem is that it doesn’t project. There’s many other colognes I can walk around with and smell it on me and that’s what I enjoy. This one just does NOT do that. You have to really put your wrist to your nose to get a whiff. Very upset I can’t find a way to project such a good scent

I have Blue Talisman and been looking for a dupe so i can save the OG for special occasion. Tried Art of Universe and Legacy but Icarus is the closest to Blue Talisman. I love that it’s not sweet. Projection is not great right now but i’ll let it rest for a few months and see if there is any changes.

So disappointing after all the hype. It’s an average ME dupe. If you want a budget version of the DNA, just get the Maison Asrar or Afnan versions. For non ME, get the Montagne or Alexandria versions.

This is very synthetic smelling and is a light, skin scent. My wife had to put her nose on my skin to smell it.
